Leo is deaf in one ear due to service aboard submarines in the USN. He is also a bit flakey due to short term memory loss, but he is a real pal and a good guy, blessed with tremendous talent. I love him like a bro and consider myself lucky that Chet Atkins hooked us up. There’s nothing plastic about him and as friends go, he’s a keeper.

What astonished everybody at the time of its release — and still astonishes me — is that the rhythmic impulse is carried by timpani. I’m still not sure what else is back there, other than the guys and the string section. Brushes? Triangle?
