Barack Obama was briefed on Hurricane Irene today. Then he went golfing. The Cape Cod Times reported, via Free Republic:
After spending the entire day sequestered at his Blue Heron Farm vacation estate President Barack Obama finally emerged this afternoon to take in some golf at Mink Meadows Golf Club in Vineyard Haven.
The golf course is a nine-hole course. Along the way to the course, a girl standing with her family by the side of the road in Vineyard Haven held up a sign to the presidential motorcade, “Good luckgolfing,” according to press reports.
