"When you look at African American males, 40% of them are unemployed, those under 30 years of age. I understand exactly the entire nation must be involved in this recovery but the black community is experiencing a great recession. That's what we're experiencing," Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) told MSNBC.
"And all of the growth in the past 30 years, we see it slipping away. From home ownership, the middle class; it's slipping away from our hands. And it has a lot to do with many issues. Racism, shipping jobs overseas, access -- no access to technology. You know, the digital divide is there and many of the new jobs that's what it requires. So, we have a problem."

With that hat she looks like she’s ready to serve in the administration of President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.
This is the racist dingbat who wanted congress to change the rules so she could wear her asinine hats while the House is in session.
Frederica, then only way home ownership slips away is if one fails to pay for it!
What % of African American males under 30 are employable and seeking work?
It seems to me that among the 40% that are unemployed, a great number of them may well be unemployable.
Another imbecile heard from..
She wants to be a Mack Momma..
Everyone is “employable” at some level of compensation.
Unfortunately, that level might be below what is legally allowed to be paid.
Why,yes,I’m going to the Pimps and Ho’s ball after this interview. Why do you ask?
I have a friend who owns a Carwash.
He used to have blacks working for him, but they seldom showed up for work on the days he needed them. Whe the sun was shining.
He got rid of all of them and hired Mexicans, and cannot say enough good things about their work. He stated that if he had to go back to hiring blacks he would just close the place up.
Blacks did not get a bad reputation for being bad workers and not showing up, because of racism. They earned it. By not showing up, Showing up late , and by shoddy work when they got there.
Ask about Mexican workers and the one thing thta is always said is that they will work anbd show up on time.
These reputations are earned they are not given.Blacks earned theirs too.
She may be right ... the racism of the democrat party and the liberal left.
When I was going through college on the GI Bill and several part time jobs I landed a job for the college (federal money of course) as a remedial English language tutor for freshmen. I had a group of about 2 dozen at a Community Center in the darkest part of the city from 7 - 10 PM three nights a week. I was the only white for blocks and blocks in any direction and there was open hostility on the part of some in the class. Let me tell you - I was very uncomfortable leaving when the class was over.
At my first class I was dumbstruck by how totally ignorant and illiterate they all were. I worked hard to help them at least grasp the basics well enough to communicate in class and do entry level lessons but few had any interest in improving their skills.
By the end of the term most never even bothered to show up and I was surprised if more than three or four attended.
But the biggest shock came when I found out they were being paid to attend. In fact, they were paid as much to attend as I was paid to tutor them!
Uncle Toms, oreos, sellouts, house slaves all. /s
Black males have a 53% drop out rate from dumbed-down ghetto high schools and as such are not only stupid, but totally unemployable.
The average black IQ in America is a paltry 85 - a full standard deviation lower than the average for whites (100) and a bit more for north east asians (106).
There is a reason for their unemployment...
