Will Obama Quit Rather Than Lose Re-election?
Pajamas Media ^ | Ron Radosh

I have been talking for months now that Obama’s problem with being President is that the job involves work. President Obama has never done work before – he is not a capitalist. The capitalist accepts that a job has work attached to it, and that work gets measured – either you succeeded in your work, or you failed. Obama has never had his work measured, and therefore becomes extremely agitated when people question his work, disagree with his answers or, in the case of groups like the Tea Party, actively work to undo his work – like Obamacare.

Since the election in 2008, which involved a complicit press that failed to do any proper vetting (no matter what Thomas Friedman may say!), Obama has shown that he is just not capable. Not only does he understand this, but the voters do. Independents have already turned their back on Obama. Those who turned out for Obama in 2008, specifically hard-core Progressives, and black voters, won’t necessarily vote for another candidate, they’ll just stay home. Obama’s record has made it impossible to win the “turn-out” battle. To quote The Who, we won’t get fooled again.

In a recent interview on the radio show, Vodka Pundit.com’s Stephen Green stated that Obama would much rather resign with “dignity” than go through the embarrassment of losing an election. He was unaware that I said the same thing just days before. A loss is not only a repudiation of Obama, but it closes the book on America’s failed experiment with Statism. It shows conclusively that America tried it, and rejected it. We don’t see ourselves as European Socialists – we’re Americans. Believers in individual liberty, personal responsibility and free markets. Believers in private charity, and the pursuit of Happiness.

Obama’s abject failure has painted him into a corner. He’s damned if he does run and he’s damned if he doesn’t. Either way he and his communist will lose and lose big.

“At that point, for the 2nd time in history, we will hear the speech: “I will not seek, nor will I accept, the nomination of my party to be your president...”

For some, it will be the third time in “history”. If you can remember President Truman.

"...He announced today that he'll be in Detroit on Labor Day to be with the union thugs and to march in the parade..."

Detroit's a good place for him.

He can showcase a once-great City that's been gutted by 60 years of liberal-unionism run amok .................... FRegards

I get the impression he no longer cares about what people think.

He is implementing policies with no regard to consequences.

Whatever comes out of his mouth is gibberish.

I agree, he may just quite because the job is beneath him.

Obama will see this nation destroyed, burned to the ground, before he even thinks about resignation.

He is a malignant narcissist. Google it.

Yup. Scorched earth policy. All Husseins do it when they know they're going down.

We don't see ourselves as European Socialists -- we are Americans!

I will make one small but important change here:

We don't see ourselves as European Socialists -- we are Americans AND/or we want to be Americans!

There are millions of naturalized citizens here that came here because they WANTED to be Americans not European socialists.

List of Presidents eligible to run for re-election who did not:

George Washington
Thomas Jefferson
James Madison
James Monroe
James Polk
James Buchanan
Ulysses Grant
Rutherford Hayes
Theodore Roosevelt
Calvin Coolidge
Harry Truman
Lyndon Johnson

12 out of 43 Presidents have decided not to run when they were eligible. Some of them, like Johnson, Truman, and Buchanan, were in very bad shape when it came to public opinion. Others, like Washington, Polk and Coolidge, decided that they had done all that they had wanted to do.

I believe that Obama’s ego could not handle a big loss, and if it looks like his popularity is mired in the low 40s by the end of the year, a mystery malady may arise and he may decide not to run again for health reasons.

While I think that Barry must realize that he’s totally lost the support of the people and would like to resign, I don’t think he wants to get rid of the first class lodging, butlers and expensive four star holiday resorts, so he will fight tooth and nail to maintain his lifestyle.

Than he must know that by throwing his support behind unionists, that he’s done.

If this is the case, than you may start to see him agitate tense situations into conflicts, since he’s got nothing to lose.

But he does need the presidency from which to take power over a country of what is it, 30o million people? Where else could he enjoy such power?

Al Sharpt9on? Maxine Waters? Barney Frank? God have mercy!

The US constitution has a way of dealing with rogue presidents. I don’t think he can really take over the country without congress having a say.

It may be a wild ride until next November, but it is coming.

It will be someone the media can present as a “moderate” Democrat, who will still have all of the “values” of being a liberal, but who understands fiscal concerns.

They would need to run someone in their 50s’ or 60’s, who isn’t involved, deeply anyway, with this administration. Someone who wasn’t a Clinton confidant, and someone with Statewide office experience.

The only one I can think, off the top of my head, who has all of that is Bob Casey, Senator from Pennsylvania who was also their State Treasurer for 4 years.

I’d rather not test that. The Black Democrat base has always loved Bill and would enthusiastically welcome his return as “First Bubba”.

Now, I know Bill didn’t do too good campaigning immediately after leaving office, and he was less visible than might have been expected during Hillary’s primary quest in 2008, but time has past, the bloom is off the Obama rose, and Bubba’s scandals have faded into foibles (in the minds of Democrats, anyhow).

And let’s never forget, the man (despicable though he is) is a brilliant, tireless campaigner. He’d be in his element. Hillary would be smart enough to give him plenty of leash and shake her head at his shenanigans, all the while knowing that “come hither” look he throws at the ladies would be met with winks, nudges and titters from the loyal Dem base. “Heck, that’s just Bill.”

Hillary herself would be hailed as a savior, a smart, hard-nosed technical politician destined to rescue Liberalism from the clutches of those evil racist Conservatives who unfairly maligned and thwarted their handsome, brilliant former champion, Obama.

The MSM would eat it up. The unspoken, but still powerful “carrier”, of their message would be “yes, we should have gone with Hillary in the first place, but Barrack deserved a chance and anyhow, we can’t let the Rethuglicans win”!

No, my friend, we do not want a fresh (or recently rebuilt) Hillary at the ballot box.

Duval could be harder to beat because the fools who voted for obungler the first time could still vote for a black president again without having to vote for a known incompetent.

Since feeling good about themselves seems to be the goal, that would sound like a plan to them.

My view of BJ the campaigner is that it’s largely a media myth.

BJ himself won with a Clintonian plurality.

And his coattails have never been impressive.

Finally some are starting to suggest he should just resign. Put aside all talk of whether he’s eligible. Were he a CEO of a major corporation, the axe would have fallen on him over a year ago.

I’m shocked nobody on the left has had the courage to suggest it at this point, while there is still time for them to find a qualified candidate. It’s time for pundits to start asking why he hasn’t resigned yet, and whether this isn’t the best thing for the country (the world) and their dysfunctional, demonic party.
