Will Obama Quit Rather Than Lose Re-election?
Pajamas Media ^ | Ron Radosh

I have been talking for months now that Obama’s problem with being President is that the job involves work. President Obama has never done work before – he is not a capitalist. The capitalist accepts that a job has work attached to it, and that work gets measured – either you succeeded in your work, or you failed. Obama has never had his work measured, and therefore becomes extremely agitated when people question his work, disagree with his answers or, in the case of groups like the Tea Party, actively work to undo his work – like Obamacare.

Since the election in 2008, which involved a complicit press that failed to do any proper vetting (no matter what Thomas Friedman may say!), Obama has shown that he is just not capable. Not only does he understand this, but the voters do. Independents have already turned their back on Obama. Those who turned out for Obama in 2008, specifically hard-core Progressives, and black voters, won’t necessarily vote for another candidate, they’ll just stay home. Obama’s record has made it impossible to win the “turn-out” battle. To quote The Who, we won’t get fooled again.

In a recent interview on the radio show, Vodka Pundit.com’s Stephen Green stated that Obama would much rather resign with “dignity” than go through the embarrassment of losing an election. He was unaware that I said the same thing just days before. A loss is not only a repudiation of Obama, but it closes the book on America’s failed experiment with Statism. It shows conclusively that America tried it, and rejected it. We don’t see ourselves as European Socialists – we’re Americans. Believers in individual liberty, personal responsibility and free markets. Believers in private charity, and the pursuit of Happiness.

He doesn’t need the presidency to ensure an elitist lifestyle.

I am 90 percent sure George Soros will give that to him when Obama leaves office.

Hillary would love to jump in. She’ll be too old in 2016. And if she challenges Obama she’ll tick off the ‘must win’ black community.

For the longest time, I’ ve thought that Obama would step down and endorse her.

I hope I’m wrong, because she’d be more difficult to beat in 2012.

What lefty democrat challenged JFK and then was blamed for bringing down “Camelot”.”

I guess that would be Lee Harvey Oswald?

....giving the occasional speech for six figures....

You're probably right but I'm having a hard time visioning anybody (democrats included) that would fork over six figures to watch a guy read a telepropter and praise himself as not the reason everything tanked.

If he marches in an union parade, it will be because he knows he is finished as president and doesn’t need to hide anymore.

I agree that ozero won’t win re-election, but I can’t see him walking away from the position.
America will reject statism for a couple of years, at most, before heading down that path again. It’s just too easy to sit on your butt and have the govt rob your neighbor in order to pay you for doing nothing.

Lee Harvey Oswald? I guess that's why they had him shot.

Deval Patrick? That would keep the plantation dwellers pacified.

Do we? I’m not so sure.

If he decides not to run, we might be facing Hillary, who would be much tougher to beat than he is — as damaged as he is.

Still the possibility of phantom “health issues” that would allow him to bow out gracefully...

I guess he would be about the only one that could challenge him. Still, I don’t see it happening.

Hillary won’t get the enthusiastic black turnout.
She might not be as formidable as we think.

But it would be fun watching Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson explaining to blacks how they need to support her, LOL.

Stephen Green stated that Obama would much rather resign with “dignity” than go through the embarrassment of losing an election.

LOL! He is quite late to the party. There're many reasons he'll not run, mainly, his weak, childish personality.

Some of my good FRiends say that his narcissism will force him to run. I countered that, his narcissism causes him NOT to tolerate a loss and that may put him in a padded room, if anyone wants to save him from himself.

He must be jumping up and down like a little girl...naw, I don't want to run...leave me alone...

I posted this info once before. One day about a year or so ago, Carol Platt Libeault sat in for Hugh Hewitt on his show. She was one year behind our little man at Harvard and worked on the Harvard Review the year that the little man was the Editor. Carol said that she became the Editor in the following year. Carol explained that Obama never submitted an article for publication as all other Editors had done in the past and future. It would be real low hanging fruit to choose your own article for a prestigious publication. She also explained that for everyone else on the staff, their jobs were like real jobs and people spent many hours toiling. Except for one Barrack Obama that is. He apparently rarely came in and said that he was working from home. Carol indicated that the other staffers took this as a euphemism that Obama was taking the day off. Hope this helps to shine a little light on the work ethic of our gifted and annointed President.

He did. I attended Punahou around the same time as Obama (I’m a ‘78 grad, he’s ‘79) and I remember seeing him working in that Baskin Robbins which was just a few blocks away from campus and his Grandparent’s apartment buliding. Probably the only real job he ever had.

I’m sorry I got in on this thread so late. Yes. Brocko will quit. He will quit when 1) it becomes apparent that Sarah will get the nomination, and 2) she outpolls him by 30% (65-35 or similar).

At that point, the dimowits panic. They perceive their only chance is to run the hildebeeste against the Mama Grizzly.

At that point, for the 2nd time in history, we will hear the speech: “I will not seek, nor will I accept, the nomination of my party to be your president...”

That should happen along about April, 2012.

I’ve been saying this for about a month, but for the first time here. I’m glad the question has surfaced.

The reason? The dimowits are going to soil themselves over the very idea of Sarah Palin naming perhaps three new Supreme Court Justices. That is the left’s holy grail. And that’s why, second only to the Constitution itself, it should be ours, too.

It would take an honorable man to admit defeat/failure and resign for the good of the country.

Country over self, is not possible with Obama and he has no honor within him.

His failure will always be someone else’s fault.

If all other excuses fail, Obama will use the one that has always worked for him... “it was because I am Black and they are all racists.”
