SarahPAC released the following statement:
Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin’s political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign. Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24-hour news cycle and that all Americans will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the “politics-as-usual” that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.
PS – Kudos to CNN for setting the record straight and including Governor Palin’s own words.
Here is an excerpt from the CNN article by Peter Hamby referenced above:
Here she is, in her own words:
Q: When is a good time? Do you have a timeline?
Palin: I have said that that August/September timeframe is important for logistical and legal reasons to jump in there, but
Q: So by next month?
Palin: I think that just practically speaking that has to be kind of a drop dead time. Also, in fairness to supporters, who are standing on the timeline, and this is what I have told Todd over and over again, I don’t want to be seen as or perceived as stringing people along, asking supporters, ‘Oh don’t just jump in there on someone else’s bandwagon because I may jump in, so hold off a little bit.’ That is not fair to them. After another month or two goes by, they need to know who it is that they can jump behind. Now more than ever, everybody has got to get involved in this 2012 election. They need to get out there and campaign for their chosen candidates, its all the more reason to hurry up and decide.
A few moments later, there was this exchange:
Q: Will you know by the next time you are here in Iowa whether you will be in, over Labor Day?
Palin: I doubt it. By the next time I am here by September 3? I don’t know if within the next couple of weeks I will be ready for an announcement or not.
Q: So the end of September is no longer a viable deadline?
Palin: No, he was asking about my next visit here on September 3, if I would be ready for an announcement September 3. And I said I don’t know if I would be ready by September 3.
Q: So the end of September would still be your timetable?
Palin: That is still a possibility for a timetable. Yes, definitely.

Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama ISN'T!
I think she's running, but if not, I doubt she endorses anyone until after the RNC. If the announcement isn't to run for President, it will likely be some sort of partnership with Glenn Beck (a mistake, IMHO).
If you come to this thread to start a fight, I will end it for you.
Don’t act stupid. I told you Perry and Bachmann supporters would be begging for Palin’s endorsement. You scoffed. It’s happened at least twice since I made that statement, and I’ve pinged you both times.
I haven’t slept either. I got sick on a seafood salad at lunch yesterday and got up to drink hot tea and eat soda crackers at 3:00 AM...lol.
Ewwwww!
You need to get some help. You pinged me here to try and bait me for obvious reasons.
You should MYOB and you won’t be mindin’ mine.
Good song by HW, by the way.
We may end up with Perry, but he'll always be choice [b].
Sorry, I don’t like or trust sneaky, backstabbing RINO supporters.
Good morning and thank you veru much ASA Vet!
She is our home grown all American, TEA PARTY PATRIOT!
I have to think that there’s a couple things at work. She obviously believes in what America should be, but also sees one of the major issues preventing it - the same media/old guard combo that savaged her is savaging the country. There seems to be no one in a comparable or greater position then her own who has the guts to do anything like fight back.
I think that plays/will play/has played a role in why she will run. “If me, who? If not now, when” That kinda thing.
You would be wise to consult the famous utterings from Yogi Bera before leaping to conclusions about others wishes and intentions. I personally prefer my eggs on a plate instead of my face.
No thanks. Perry is a crony capitalist, bought and paid for RINO. Take Jim’s advice and stop trolling/sh*t stirring on Palin threads. Many Palin supporters may however feel inclined to welcome a return of your support when Perry’s already lacklustre campaign inevitably fails. He’s a dud - get over it.
No thanks, I don't care to party with Perry.
Thank you... but no thanks. Candidate Rick Perry promised if he won re-election as Governor, that he would not run for president.
Then, in a move calculated to advance his personal political gain, he broke that promise.
Sarah Palin, on the other hand, took an oath to do only that which she felt was in the very best interest of her constituents and her State without regard for whether it might advance or destroy her personal political gain.
Sarah Palin kept that promise, despite the fact that leaving the Governorship might have spelled her personal political suicide. She honestly believed that it was best decision for her State and her Country. And as is turns out, she was absolutely right. Again
Sarah gets my vote. I can wait a couple more weeks to get a President who keeps her promises to the voters she thinks of before she thinks of herself.
Your offer doesn't sound like so much "fun" after all. And, after all, what is "fun" shouldn't play an adult role in such a momentous decision. "Honesty" trumps "fun."
No thank you.

>>>Now I am encourageing other Palin supporters to look at Rick Perry as an option.
You call what you do “encouraging”? More like persuasion with a ball peen hammer glued to a 2x4.
You got a bad case of PDS. Perry Deification Syndrome.
Maybe you should start a pro-PERRY blog, and pimp that here... or not ;)
Repeated cut-n-paste postings of an invitation to "come to Palin" because you used to be a Perry supporter, but have seen the light, on a Perry thread, would be considered rude.
Suddenly going all coy on Jim Robinson after being caught at it wouldn't look too good either.
Think about it.
Cheers!
Honey, I pinged you to show you that you were wrong... again.
Cheers!
