9/11: al-Qaeda didn’t act alone

For their new book, 'The Eleventh Day, Anthony Summers and Robbyn Swan trawled through thousands of documents, piecing together a definitive account of the attacks.
On September 11, bereaved family members will mark the 10th anniversary of the cataclysmic terrorist attacks on American cities. They will gather around the pools of remembrance at the newly opened memorial, where the names of the 2,982 known victims who died on the day and in the earlier bombing of 1993 are engraved on parapets of bronze. President Obama and his predecessor, George W Bush will be on hand.
Two official inquiries have investigated the who, the how, and the why of 9/11. A decade on, however, many questions remain. Osama bin Laden and his terrorist cohort plotted and executed the operation, but did they act alone? Only days after the onslaught, President Bush's defence secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, said the terrorists "live and work and function and are fostered and encouraged, if not just tolerated, by a series of countries
I know a lot
It's a sensitive matter."
In the months that followed, President Bush and Vice President Cheney especially Cheney insinuated publicly that Iraq had been involved in 9/11. Polls showed that by 2003, when the US invaded Iraq, millions of Americans had come to believe that was the case. The US 9/11 Commission, however, would conclude that Iraq had nothing to do with the attacks.
Rumsfeld's other suspects after 9/11 had included Libya, Sudan and Iran, all countries associated with terrorism. No evidence was to emerge pointing to Libya or Sudan, though bin Laden was long based in Khartoum. Iran is another story.

“Gerald Posner recently revealed that when the FBI captured a top Al-Qaeda terrorist, Abu Zubaydah in Faisalabad, Zubaydah revealed that his contacts in Saudi Arabia were Prince Ahmed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, a wealthy royal with a passion for race horses, Prince Sultan bin Turki al Saud, a nephew of King Fahd, and Prince Fahd bin Turki, another relative of the monarch. Zubaydah told his American interrogators that the royal family struck a deal with Al-Qaeda for the latter not to target it. He also revealed that Prince Ahmed was informed beforehand that Al-Qaeda was planning to strike on American targets on September 11, 2001.
Zubaydah further revealed that Al-Qaeda had also struck a deal with the Pakistani military. Pakistans Air Chief Marshal Mushaf Ali Mir was informed of the impending attacks on the US on 9/11. The Bush Administration has remained silent on these allegations. More ominously, Prince Ahmed died mysteriously in his sleep a few weeks after Zubaydahs revelations. His cousin Prince Sultan bin Turki died the next day in a car accident. Prince Fahd bin Turki died mysteriously a week later of thirst while he was said to be driving in the desert. Finally, Air Chief Marshal Mir died in a mysterious air crash in Pakistan. According to Posner, the air crash is believed to have been an act of sabotage.”

I believe the fall of the individual towers did register seismically.

I read the 9/11 commission report. I concluded that Iraq/Hussein was involved, but not proveable beyond a shadow of doubt. Also, I think that I remember reading that a NY court found Saddam Hussein/Iraq guilty.
There was also a boatload of evidence that Hussein/Iraq was behind the first attack on the WTC that was documented in a book, but I have forgotten the title and the author.

Don’t forget Saddams hands all over Oklahoma City. He was so deep into that, yet Clinton turned his back again and like Osama he didn’t do squat. Just like flight 800!

I was there that day also. There was a very clear report of a large car bomb explosion at the State Department about an hour to an hour after the initial attack. It was on WMAL and also reported in DoD channels. The report was rescinded about an hour later with no explanation of what had happened. We were all expecting more events that day. The tension was palpable and intense.
To: crazydad
I believe it too. Lots of terrorism ignored over the past 30 years or so.

That begs the question? Why have we ignored it? My guess would be the Saudis are so far up all our politicians asses that if it was found out they had anything to do with it the country would not stand by and let our poli’s be bought off every election cycle by the Royals. Or we have just become corrupt with power as long as the power and money continue to flow to the poli’s then nothing to be seen. We are just told over and over again” It is an Isolated incident”.. I dont know any more. Who does???

Most interesting. The Bin Turki clan is certainly far up the tree in the world of the SA royals. One was the defense minister back in the 80’s, I think.
The way the board was swept quickly and cleanly is vintage SA royal house action. I would imagine the CI A station chief briefed his royal counterpart on these findings and they were received with mild polite interest and then swoosh the chessboard was swept clear. The Saudis get trashed a lot here but I have found them to be deceptively ruthlessly competent when their core interests are involved. Rather like sleepy, torpid, crocodiles that smile mildly and then SNAP, the problem suddenly disappears.

I really don't know. Maybe Clinton just wanted to hide it so he wouldn't have to do something. Leftover Vietnam angst. Maybe bribes. Maybe CIA/FBI shenanigans. Hard to tell.
I believe that most of our politicians are corrupt. Their main interest is re-election, getting along with their fellow politicians, and making sure their largest contributors get what they want.
There might be 5 or 6 that are true patriots - maybe less.

I got an email about 911 and the towers a few weeks ago, relating to the actual cause of the building collapse, after the planes struck. I had read scientific reports of the cause of the collapse and they were very convincing that the airplanes brought them down. This website seemed fantastic, even moreso than other wierd conspiracy and inside job theories.
But when I read it, it did seem to raise some questions, like why all the dust? Anyway, here it is. You need to keep an open mind, because the premise is they were brought down by some sort of high frequency generator. I know, sounds bizarre, but look at some of the pics on this (complex) website, it shows some very strange physical phenomenon.

Yep, the Saudi’s have been our “friends” for a long time. We need to take a step back sometimes. this is a long term relationship.

The bottom line is that moslums desire to conquer the world by force. All muslims, everywhere, know this because it is written into their “holy book”. They will not rest until they succeed or are crushed.

I have spoken with some LEO in New York who said there were similar explosions in NYC. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. I do know that Freepers posted eye witness reports of coordinated, smoky fires that would have provided a path toward the Capital for any airplane.

No smoke pots necessary on a clear day and on a cloudy or foggy day they would only obscure the buildings more.
As you can see from the photo, the Capitol Building is the center of the bull's eye from the air. In fact the street system radiates outward from that point. A cross hair if you will. On a clear day, such as. Sept 11, there is no way that even a goat herd could miss it.
Just to the left of the Washington Monument you can make out one of the bridges on the Potomac River which is the flight path ( rt to left in the photo) for National Airport (not far beyond the left) on the river. By the time planes reach the Monument they are already on the landing approach and very low. As you can guess one could make a quick banking left turn and there's no chance of stopping impact.
