Almost every Friday, Washington Post columnist and Fox News Channel regular Charles Krauthammer takes on a different role. Krauthammer tapes a program where he is the lone conservative on a panel. The show: The weekend broadcast of the nationally syndicated program “Inside Washington.”
During this weekend’s edition, an unyielding Krauthammer went after President Barack Obama and his failure to “change how Washington works” in terms of putting forth a so-called jobs agenda.
“[H]e came in on ‘hope and change’ and he said he would change the way Washington works,” Krauthammer said. “And we just heard him in the sound bite you opened the show with running against Washington. Where the hell has he been the last two and a half years?

Obama and his invisible handlers say what many of their constituents want to hear, but they don’t follow through on anything they say or promise. It’s all smoke and mirrors, so to speak? Most of Obama’s followers are rabble that don’t know what the score is, so to speak and they’ll vote for a rock that promises a bounty for them, one way or another?
Obama’s “jobs” agenda will be all about spending more Government $$ to create jobs that will disappear once the funding runs dry. In the end, all it will breed is dependency and debt.
Our trade deficit is a perfect explanation of what is wrong with the US Economic Model: we borrow $$ to keep people employed. Those consumers buy value added products that are (increasingly) made overseas. In short, we are going into debt to boost our economic competitors. We have to learn that price is not the only criteria for buying a product—consumers need to think about the mid-long term implications for the nation. Unfortunately, most do not think this way (including many FReepers).

No he didn't. He said he would fundamentally transform America.
And so he did. We used to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. Now we're the land of the fleeced and the home of the frightened.

Wonder if Mr. Krauthammer has had a change of heart regarding the ‘gravitas’ of ‘Sarah’?
I really do not understand all the accolades given to Mr. Krauthammer because he has been more wrong than right and is very very late to this party.
Kraut will still vote obozo over Palin. Apparently he is over his fainting spells.

I do agree. But of course we 'hobbits' are the focus of the contempt of the high minded intellectual elite. And we have reach right up to the tipping point wherein it will be an ACT of the Heavenly Father to protect US from the dregs of liberalism.
The change Obama promised wasn’t so much ‘how Washington works’ as to fundamentally change the fundamental economic and social structure. He’s succeeded pretty well so far on those fronts.
Our economy which should have bounced back in a year or so from the late ‘08 recession is only worse, now the govt/Obama-friendly unions own GM, long time financial institutions either failed/closed or are suffering.
On the social front, we have a DOJ that drops charges against already-pled guilty criminals, but pursues suits vs. one of the several states, i.e., AZ and investigates middle class Americans as terrorists.
Alas, back in ‘08, Krauthammer was far more concerned that Sarah Palin might possibly be VP than any of these more fundamental issues.
