Just hours after Rick Perry officially entered the presidential race last Saturday, liberals started to attack Texas’s economic record. Paul Krugman got the ball rolling in Sunday’s New York Times: “So what you need to know,” Krugman claimed, “is that the Texas miracle is a myth, and more broadly that Texan experience offers no useful lessons on how to restore national full employment.” With the latest Gallup poll showing that just 26 percent of Americans approve of President Obama’s performance on the economy, liberals have little choice but to try to distort what is happening in Texas. To do so, they will have to rely on sleight of hand. Krugman continued:
"In June 2011, the Texas unemployment rate was 8.2 percent. That was less than unemployment in collapsed-bubble states like California and Florida, but it was slightly higher than the unemployment rate in New York, and significantly higher than the rate in Massachusetts. . . . ". . .

Obama endorses the failed California model. Perry endorses the Texas model, which has worked in spite of federal policies which oppose it.

yes good article. He likes Tort Reform, against Global warming, favors lower spending and lower taxes. He’s appears out to lunch on illegal immigration but beside that most of his record is solid.

If you took a poll in Texas and asked who would move to California, Massachusetts, New York, etc., I bet you would get very few takers other than those who are institutionalized. Do the the same in the failing liberal states and I bet you would get a different result. However, I caution that the majority of those from those states would be considered undesirables, mentally ill, carpet baggers, etc.
Indeed, remember that article from yesterday over the US fighting with Exxon Mobil over a potential HUGE offshore oilfield that could be over 1 billion barrels of oil 250 miles off the southeast coast of Texas? That's the type of oil find if exploited that could mean many thousands of jobs for oil production facilities around Houston and Texas City, TX and in Louisiana. Indeed, don't be surprised that Texas and Louisiana experiences a huge economic boom as oil production ramps up with the next President, which is increasingly likely on January 20, 2013.
Anybody that lives in Texas or travels through Texas often enough can honestly say the Krugman is full of beans.
should be obvious to the most casual observer that anything like a "Texas miracle" is the last thing the Obama/Krugman crowd wants. I would challenge Gov Perry to chalenge the Washington elite with something like "Take a good look at Texas. You ain't seen nothing yet!" They will hide their eyes, but the voters will be very observant.
Perry does support the CA. model in being drenched with aliens. Palin serves and loves her English-speaking constituency for more than just votes as did Joan of Arc in chasing out invaders for the good of her country and king.

California has *tons* of oil. In fact, they have so much off shore, tar balls float ashore and coat some of the beaches. They’ve got quite a bit inland, too. See the La Brea Tar Pits as one example - those are oil sands!
They just refuse to exploit it any more. My high school mascot (at one school) was an oil field worker, from when they actually did drill for and pump oil. If they’d pump out some of the oil off their coast, they wouldn’t have to keep cleaning up their beaches. From the leftist Heal The Bay website - they even admit it themselves:

Ten gallons just oozing out and they won’t let anyone go pump it all out to keep the beaches clean. But they’ll happily attack you to get more money to clean up the oil once it inevitably hits the beaches.

I know Alaska has some illegal aliens. Does Palin have a track record in that regard? That’s something I’ve never read about her.
