Darrell Issa Demands A Retraction From The NY Times
Human Events ^ | 08/19/2011 | John Hayward

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), whose House Oversight committee has overseen the aftermath of such horrors as the “Gun Walker” scandal, has demanded the retraction of a hit piece published by the New York Times. He even wants them to retract the headline: “A Businessman in Congress Helps his District and Himself.”

Issa’s office has cited 13 erroneous statements in the article. Thus far, the Times has issued one “correction.” You know how that works: front-page smear, corrections several days later on page A-37, sandwiched between ads for the Chevy Volt and help-wanted notices from federal regulatory agencies.

The formal request for retraction from Issa’s office wants the Times to do better than that:

On behalf of Rep. Darrell Issa, please accept this as a formal request for a full front page retraction, including the headline, “Helping His District, and Himself,” that ran in the Monday, August 15 edition of the New York Times. The request for a full front page retraction is based on numerous errors that invalidate the primary assertions made in the story that is a false and sensationalized account Rep. Issa’s efforts to conduct congressional oversight of the Obama Administration and other matters.

This request is being sent after New York Times reporter, Eric Lichtblau, who wrote the story, refused to share the contact information of his editors for a discussion of errors in the story as requested by Rep. Issa’s congressional office...

I have seen the notorious Eric Lickspittle, I mean Litchblau, on numerous NY Slimes character assassination hit pieces of Republicans. He is a vile democrat party operative.

And they are past that point.

Darrell Issa, a true American patriot, should be favored by the NY Times. he is of Arab origin although a Christian.

In other news, the New York Times is still looking for people to help them dig up dirt on Sarah Palin.

In other, other news, the NY Slimes still doesn't believe that "Uncle Joe" Stalin had anything to do with those tens of millions of deaths in The Ukraine. They're still oh-so-proud of that Pulitzer Prize presented to Walter Durante for those articles stating just how wonderful it was in the old Soviet Union.

See post #26.

Issa will be a thorn in the side of the Liberals for a great many years to come.

He would make a good President in about 12 years or so.

They’re not going to retract it.

They’re a liberal organization who don’t care what you think.

A retraction would be a bonus, but that isn't the point. The goal is to call attention to the NYSlimes policy of printing risible lies about their political opponents.

“The thing is... Obama is destroying every good relationship there is around. Big tent liberal Fabian democrates are imploding for letting Marxists like Obama run amock.”

Yep, obuma and his one-world marxists showed their hand too soon, before building a trained army. His “army”of fat union goons, 50 IQ flash mobs and welfare mommas isn’t going to cut it on the various American battlefields. They can squawk like chickens, but chickens end up in the frying pan.

Obuma and his Leninist goons thought the masses would rise to overthrow America and establish a worker’s paradise. That is so 1917. Obuma and his drooling gang of Leninists are anachronisms.

Unlike some of the gloom and doom surrender monkeys here on FR who think America is done, I’m seeing the beginning of the end of the traitorous leftists in America. We have some rough waters ahead, but we will win.

It’s near time for treason trials and to carry out the sentences of the courts.

The office building overlooks an apartment complex built on a 22 acre (approx) site which was previously a driving range. It is right next to State Route 78 'freeway'. I am almost certain that the apartments were built before Issa moved into the office building.

Google map 1800 Thibodo Road, Vista, CA 92083 - switch on satellite view - zoom in - and there it is.

Meanwhile...

All we know about Ubama is that he sees things in terms of a Third World socialist. His father was an African Marxist and his mother a leftist slut. Nothing in his background or experience - far left community organizer, 20 years with the hate-monger Pastor Wright, friendship with terrorist Bill Ayers, shady real estate deal with Syrian (now jailed) swindler Tony Rezko, associations with Louis Farrakhan and black militants - makes him a real American in terms of values or world view. He spent 150 days in the U.S. Senate, about 120 of them campaigning. He spent a few years in the Illinois state legislature voting “present.” Never has America been so poorly led - and we got what we voted for.

Hahaha, Hayward's parody of Lichtblau is hilarious...

Here on the third floor of a capitalist palace, as a corporate jet floats through a sunset the color of Paul Ryan’s table wine and casts its tax-evading shadow over a golf course filled with millionaires, fatcat Darrell Issa sits at the heart of a web spun from the blood and tears of exploited workers, building an empire out of dollars that could be putting health care into the veins of poor minority children...

We will never run out of lampposts. I see Harry Reid hanged from sea to shining sea.

Cheers
