The Obama Administration today announced a virtual amnesty-by-decree for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, whose deportations will be “indefinitely delayed”. In addition, Obama finally announced a jobs program – but for ILLEGAL ALIENS, not citizens – as those 300,000 illegals will also become eligible for “work permits“.
This action represents an administrative end-run around Congress, which twice rejected the ‘DREAM Act’ in 2010. As disgraceful as is this usurpation of Congressional authority, this announcement is even worse than is being reported.

Not the legal ones. I dare you ask my neighbors who are 5th or 6th generation LEGAL Hispanic immigrants. They hate the illegal immigrants as much as anyone on FR.
I believe this is an impeachable offense...questions though:
1. Will it take precious resources Obama hopes we take off looking into other things and distract Congress?
2. Who in the R party will bring up articles of impeachment (Issa? Boehner? Ryan? Who brings up such?)?
3. While Congress is also “on vacation”, are there any tweets or Facebook messages from any congress critters saying this is impeachable, etc.?
Anyone out there know anything on these three points?
Yes, the 300,000 is really going to help the unemployment rate stay high. I feel this will hurt his chances in 2012. eff him.

Minnesota is interesting as we say here. At least we have Bachmann and Kline for a bit of balance. I do worry about our border to the north. All one hears is 'crickets' regarding the issue. Anyone nefarious would have a lot of cover in the sparsely populated north woods.

The only staying I’ve been guilty of was staying too long and not giving up.
This one is a case of going underground until the election and only staying if it turns out right.
And the Republicans remain SILENT yet again.

To give you an idea of where the Republican establishment is on this issue, there isn’t a single mention of this outrage on nationalreview.com. Not even on “The Corner” blog, on which the regular NR contributors post regular comments. There is a significant chunk of the GOP that loves illegal immigration as a source of cheap labour.
