And elected Republicans have said what about this issue? they’re scrambling to the microphone to complain? they’re running ads showing how high our unemployment rate is and mentioning what Obama is doing? Maxine Waters is complaining about this because black unemployment is so high?

Not even on “The Corner” blog, on which the regular NR contributors post regular comments. There is a significant chunk of the GOP that loves illegal immigration as a source of cheap labour.
