Obama orders new plan to diversify federal workers

President Barack Obama has signed an executive order directing the federal government to design a new strategy for hiring, promoting and keeping workers of diverse backgrounds. The three-page order released Thursday directs the head of the Office of Personnel Management, a deputy director at the Office of Management and Budget and two other agencies to develop the strategy within 90 days. Agencies then have 120 days to implement it. An Office of Personnel Management report says that in fiscal year 2010, the federal workforce was 66.2 percent white, 17.7 percent black, 8 percent Hispanic, 5.6 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 1.8 percent Native American. It was 56.1 percent male.

It’s called wellfare.

The disturbing fact though is that public sector workers make almost double on average what the private sector worker earns.

And even if the percentages of hires didn’t match the population - so what? Aren’t jobs supposed to be based on the applicants’ qualifications?

More reparations. Blacks are over represented in many Federal agencies. Half of Fanny/Freddy is black according to the Washington Post. White women get affirmative action boosts. Highly qualified white men get the shaft though gays are in like Flynn

Staying small will not be enough. Contracting rules already exclude large companies if below some value threshold (e.g. $100K for many types of work) when small companies exist that can get the work done. Preference is already given to minority-owned/operated offerors, as well as women-owned. Further preference is given to offerors located in economically depressed areas employing people living in those areas (Hub zones). The acquisition regulations supplements within the agencies will be revised to give greater preference to the point of exclusion of other qualified offerors.

Further, it is not enough for them that the federal workforce reflects the populace... equal outcomes must be met not only in hiring, but also in promotion, supervisory status and within employment fields. For example, NASA’s workforce generally reflects the populace, but 85% of engineers and over 90% of scientists are either white or asian/PI. This must be corrected (regardless of the demographic makeup of graduates from accredited engineering and science colleges and universities). You see, as the EO states:

“our greatest accomplishments are achieved when diverse perspectives are brought to bear to overcome our greatest challenges. “

and we all know, it is that diverse perspective of the physical sciences that lead to technological breakthroughs!

more racial minorities in federal jobs than in the general population

Taking them off welfare and putting them in Government. I can see Obama saying this is a sensable solution for when the crap hit's the fan. They'll have jobs so no need to revolt. Can't have a black revolt while he's President.

Note the timeline here.....Obama says he has a plan....Walters video plastered across the media so her folks can heed the call....Obama 'orders' Deported Illegals get to stay....Obama 'orders' racial quotas for gov. jobs.

So tell me just where is he attempting to gather voters and further all this is really sounding like Jeremiah Wright stuff! Black Theology on the move perhaps?

We have lost our country and all it once stood for I'm afraid. How can we survive this Obama onslaught another year?

Do minorities care one way or another if they get jobs, permotions etc. based on merit? Well to Obama it doesn’t matter....and I now doubt if those minorities will care either....to some it is simply payback time in their eyes. I have heard some in my community say as much.

Not any more..via Obamas new dictatorship orders. Not long ago I got passed over by a first year college student...cost effective for the company. They can run students and minorites thru like water..and do so.

Somewhere along the line here I gotta change my work ethics to fit the times....find a way to be depraved of something or another.....

Another tactic they're doing is hiring "experienced" workers to get the kinks out so dept's. etc. run more smoothly.....once that's done they hire the younger folk and you're suppose to teach them your job. Then some false reason is given why they have to let you go.

This looks close to what America looks like, what’s the problem?

I think they've noted, from their own statistical demographics, that blacks are approximately 50% OVER REPRESENTED, and intend to reduce that number to the 11% as in the actual population, then use the savings to increase the Hispanic count, again, more accurately reflecting demographic reality.

Oh...NO? ;)

This has spread to the private sector as well; any company that doesn’t have a workforce that is mostly minorities is threatened with lawsuits. It has become illegal for whites to provide for their families (or even have them), and now young whites are living as young urban blacks do (which was the government’s goal all along). Many US companies avoid the lawsuits by hiring the Hispanics that have been imported to replace the blacks.

This was also done in the private sector as well.

Years ago when we went to war, it was easy to claim moral superiority over our enemies. Now in our war against Islam, can a country with policies like this, as well as “gay marriage” and “abortion-on-demand” and “no-fault divorce” continue to claim that?
