Outstanding summary of the brilliance in Palin's delay in announcing her candidacy.

I support Palin and want her to run... BUT I have zero interest in voting for someone who hasn’t proven themselves worthy in the debates.

I wanted Palin to run so that should could prove the media wrong by performing well against the others in the primaries, but if she just thinks she can jump in at the last minute and get my vote without actually earning it, she’s got another thing coming.

Hillbuzz, a gay blogger living in Chicago who was for Hillary Clinton...umm no thanks. I have to hand it to the little guy he carved out a unique niche blog. He has all valid points except one thing, she will not beat Obongo in the general. There has not been one shred of data showing her doing that, and that my friend is what patters not how vociferous her supporters are or the purity of her Conservative message. I voted for Reagan, I was around when he campaigned, I heard him speak LIVE and Sarah Palin is no Reagan. She needs to stay on the sidelines, snipe form the tall grass and help get Obama out of the White House, that is her calling. Her running is Barry Goldwater redux.

The "she's not running" brigade

They are actually helping Sarah Palin without realizing it.

Yep, don’t shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. The current candidates are just cannon fodder for the left and the media, a distraction to keep them busy until the heavy hitters come out.

Kevin Dujan gets it. He does.

Sarah is no dope. She did indeed learn from Hillary’s mistakes. And though the article doesn’t mention it, I believe Mrs. Palin learned from Ronald Reagan too. If you recall, Reagan announced his candidacy in NOVEMBER, 1979.

Why should she debate with (fill in the blank) candidates who will be a distant memory also-ran by next March?

The homosexuals at Hillbuzz are highly mistaken if they think Governor Palin learned from Hillary, but their points are well taken.

Governor Palin is a million times smarter and more politically savvy than Hillary can ever hope to be. For example, Palin’s bus tour was not an idiot *listening tour* and Palin holds her plans close whereas Hillary surrounded herself with Bill’s thug pals.

Governor Palin is honest and I ask everyone here and also in the news media, how many e-mails of Hillary’s have news media published so the public could read?

Nothing to learn?

Ahh, grasshopper. Go read the works of Sun Tsu. I bet Sarah has.

someone who hasn’t proven themselves worthy in the debates.

Which debates? The debating schedule for candidates generally begins in January of the year of the election, because that is about the time the Iowa campaign kicks into full gear. They have a debate generally 1 week or so before the Iowa caucus. That is when the debates have traditionally started.

He’s one of the sharpest analysts out there, which is why his blog is popular.

Actually there’s loads of info showing that Palin could be Barry in the general. It starts with repeated polls of them going head-to-head: Barry consistently fails to reach 50%, which is required of an incumbent to win. Given that the undecided tend to break 4-to-1 for the challenger, most such polls show them in a dead heat—before she’s even declared.

But more important than the overall popular vote is how the two do in swing states. Throughout the Rust Belt, Palin tends to poll very well and Barry very poorly.

Further, a lot of elections are driven by turnout, both among the base and among supporters in the thin-voting moderate/independent band. In both cases Palin voters are highly motivated and Barry voters are not.

She’s in a great position against the little commie.

Exactly!

I havent watched any of those “debates” because I just dont care at this point.

Which person from them has really got long-term momentum?

Herman Cain? Remember him? He got his wind from a debate last winter, now he is nowhere to be seen.
