Rick Perry has counted on the staunch support of Texas conservatives during his two decades of statewide triumphs in Texas. Hes an anti-tax, anti-spending, anti-regulation, anti-Washington stalwart.
Richard A. Viguerie, chairman of ConservativeHQ.com and a leader on the right since the days of Ronald Reagan, called Perry a committed conservative whose presidential announcement brought a wave of relief to conservatives.
Then why are some conservative bloggers and activists warning others on the political right about a Perry presidential candidacy?
Before Republicans start salivating too heavily, it is important to examine Perry closely, says conservative talk-show host David Zublick. His conservative bona fides leave much to be desired.

Good night, Cajun.
Yes, exactly! My words! He introduced the vaccine for the prevention of cervical cancer! That it prevented the human papilloma virus in so doing had nothing to do with it. Lots of things prevent STDs. CONDOMS, for one thing. He could have cared less. It was about CANCER. Gardisil prevents STDs in men, too, did you know? And yet he only wanted GIRLS to have the vaccine — because GIRLS have a the CERVIX!!!
What I do know, however, is that I'd much rather see everyone here and elsewhere hammer down hard on shaming the media, our friends, neighbors and fellow citizens on the COMPLETE lack of vetting of our current occupant of the White House than actively ripping into emerging Republican candidates.
Good night
That’s ridiculous.
You can’t declare an STD vaccine to NOT be an STD vaccine and expect to be believed, just like you Perry-bots can’t declare the issues people have with Perry to be “dead issues”.
He wears more makeup than most porn stars.
We are already doing a whole lot worse than Perry. We are crippled by an affirmative action racist...every day.
Sarah Palin isn’t running. She’s not showing a single sign that she’s getting ready to jump in. She has merged with the background up to this point.
thanks for the link.
I think when one sees where these articles come from, mostly Bush supporters, RINO’s or the left, one can safely vote for Perry.
What are the choices:
Unelectable Libratarian Paul, Super RINO Romney, a Congressman or two when it is not precedent for a house member to be elected president in modern times or either of two defeated national office candidates: Santorum or Cain either of whom would be a great VP?
All I had to see was how (.)bama shugged him off when he dained to visit Texas to know who I wanted.
He’s a disaster who will implode hopefully sooner rather than later. Everything he says is a contradiction.
Says he’s OK with states deciding their own gay marriage issues but supports a federal amendment against it. He opposes abortion, except in certain cases. Says government doesn’t create jobs, unless its is jobs he’s created in Texas. Takes on a public fight with the EPA while handing out money to build windmills and solar. Says he supports strict border control but isn’t about to get in the way of a do nothing federal government.....
Perry bots are cowards.
How can they not be. They spend years whining about wanting something different from government but the first time the same old thing comes along they throw themselves at his feet. They’re no different than the Obamabots. Anyone who speaks up against Perry is a lying left winger (Like Michelle Malkin).
You have posted that same screed to me complete with the same typos on another thread.
I think that the article link that you are responding to explains the “rest of the story” quite well and it is your reading comprehension that is at fault. Alex Jones - is that you? ;)
I thought you said you were an eminent "Professor of American Exceptionalism" at an (un-named) university in Texas? And after three years on this forum you can't work out how to create a simple profile?

DRey hasn't created an about page.
That's alright. I did my own research. Found your YouTube video:
LOL!
That's our slick Rick. The man has the Texas Two Step down pat.
Yep. Disappeared like a ghost in the night. Nowhere to be found. No one's heard a peep out of her.
Governor Palin Talks to Hannity at Iowa State Fair
Trump? Not likely.
Not only does he have NO conservative credentials to speak of, he jumped out of the race months back. Few will trust him if he jumps back in (remember Perot?)
I see the fed chair in Dallas is now paying “lip service” to St Rick. Sounds to me like he’s bucking for a promotion.
No, people have inner changes and Obama has caused many to wake up. And Trump was never in like Perot was when he jumped out...not a good analogy.
