Sarah Palin Is a Tease!

Sarah Palin Is a Tease!

Even after Michele Bachmann’s win in the Iowa straw poll last weekend, Sarah Palin won’t go away. Is she really serious about running for president? As Meghan McCain sees it, not a chance.

It’s the middle of August and we’re in the dog days of a political summer, when the Republican contenders for president are scrambling to figure out how to unseat Obama in 2012. The exaggerated importance placed on last weekend’s Ames straw poll isn’t a surprise. Michele Bachmann probably won’t be our next president, but the intense need for some sort of political news in our nonstop 24-hour cycle is to be expected. What should not be expected, however, is that six months away from the New Hampshire primary in January, the media is still spending a considerable amount of time obsessing over Sarah Palin, a woman who may or may not even be interested in a run for the White House.

I watched Palin supporters on this forum say Palin would win with write in’s in this straw poll because she is that strong. It didn’t happen. It is a political strategy/trial balloon to see how bad/if people want you. Her announcement of her bus tour was to go to the fair and see what happened politically. I read an article that Palin indeed bashed the poll saying THE PEOPLE DID NOT VOTE in her dismay at Paw Paw quitting. If you ENTER the race and work for it you get votes. IF the GOP chose who won with insider stuff like Palin made it sound like. Bachmann would surely not have been the winner.

It is not any fantasy it is the conclusion I have reached, prove me wrong with facts other than you heart her.

And she surely did say she would be Romney’s VP in 2012.It is all over the net and archived in many, many places including FR threads. Search- Palin Romney you betcha (the original article: the Boston Herald.) So, just because we don’t see eye to eye does not make my post lies at all.My conclusion with a fact about Romney.

It is a political no brainer no one has argued that this straw poll does not pick the winner but it *can* make or break somebody.

I am wiling to bet that if Sarah Palin would have announced and ran and won this means nothing, poll. It would have meant something and have been in breaking news 3 times?

I understand “Paul Ryan” might be declaring his run ...says he’ll let us know within the next two weeks! So as with Palin, he’s not going to declare either way until around Sept 1st. ...and Trumps still saying he might run.

ping for later....

Just as a side note, the personal attacks and flung invectives between folks on here makes the DU look like a kindergarten reading session.

Lighten up folks....it's a very very long way to November, 2012. Save some of that "fire in the belly" (or spleen juice) for the real enemy.

I don’t think Ryan will run, he’s been saying no, for months, and continues to say no. That’s wholly different than telling people you haven’t made a decision yet, or that you have, and won’t reveal it yet.

I called him and informed him that Bill Clinton may be a Southerner, but he was no gentleman.

Believe me, he was not. He didn't even offer to pay to have the blue dress dry cleaned (tho I'm sure later on he desperately wished he'd done so!)

I wish Ryan would run! Is there a news source you have that he may and will let us know in 2 weeks?

If Perry ends up being the nominee, I’ll vote for him, but every time I see him, I think “Plastic Man”.

If Mr. Perry should win the Republican nomination, I will vote for him.

But that is not saying a great deal. I will vote for whoever wins the Republican nomination. And that is actually very sad because what I actually mean is that I will vote AGAINST the stain and his regime in 2012.

I've looked at Mr. Perry's website. Very polished, very "clean", very manufactured, good advertising. It has the feeling of a site built over time by ad men and focus groups and pollsters with an eye toward being as "slick" and as "market-y" as was the stain’s back in '08. However, in my heart, I can't seem to find the genuine Mr. Perry in it anywhere.

Contrast this please with Mrs. Palin. Tho not a candidate, FB, SarahPAC, and her TW "pages" are chock full of the real her. Perhaps not so "professional", perhaps not built by ad men and others of that ilk. But they are brutally honest, clear, cogent, and forceful. They both are....well.....genuinely her.

I spent some time on active duty in both the Army and the AF. If I were asked today to make a choice between Mrs. Palin and Mr. Perry as to which I would gladly and willingly follow into combat, hands down it would be Mrs. Palin. Trust, belief, and a sure knowledge that I follow a leader. That is what I want. That is what I would follow. That is who I would vote FOR.

Unfortunately, that is not Mr. Perry.

Spot on. We'll be voting against Obammy more than we'll be voting for our respective nominee.

No, I mean, you post “obama is not a natural-born citizen, Palin is”.. as if to say, she is a citizen, we don’t need to look any further. Because, you know, in these threads we are not talking about Obama vs. X, rather we are talking about who that X should be from the GOP.

She beat the media out and they're livid that she gave them the slip.
They just can't believe that she got away with that.
They can't believe she gave 'em the slip.
They can't believe that she would even try to give 'em the slip. - Rush.

So did Perry. I've thought all along we haven't necessarily seen all the candidates yet...that there are those waiting in the wings. Probably because it's just wise to do that since they'll be going up against some money rich candidates and need to use their smaller chest when it matters most.

However, though I also question if Ryan will run....since when does one set a date to inform they're 'not' running? This is going to be an interesting year for politics I think.

We don’t have time for these games. We really don’t.Palin said last year she would be Romney’s VP so she needs to publicly take this back and explain. She is like a bad tabloid story never going any where. It is old.
