Just donated to perry and bought bumper sticker & yard sign (I am in)

Posted on 08/14/2011 6:43:59 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I just committed myself 15 mins ago. My first round donation is done. Was always looking for the winnable conservative candidate with extensive executive experience. Between Romney and Perry, choice is clear. Only other possible entrant is Palin and she interested me as a reform minded GOP Governor who was a VP candidate. While she may enter the race and be more to the right of Perry, I am not looking for the "right most" candidate.

No, let me tell you something, boys and girls, 4 more friggin’ years of OBAMA as a lame duck president having no fear of not being re-elected, would be a friggin’ disaster.

My decision was quick (day after his announcement). But, it was based on 20 hours of reading, studying and surveying the rest of the field. Not that you or anyone should commit this quickly. Just my way of doing it.

Did you buy an amnesty now sign or badge that says I support the Dream Act in Spanish?

Didn't you just post a link yesterday about how Sarah Palin also made statements supporting amnesty, during an interview with Univision? (Although if you're just being consistent, then I have to applaud you.)

To vote for Perry and to support him now gives us the best chance we have to get rid of Obama.

If I could I would vote for Reagen...but he is dead. And if he were running, there would be those on this board who would find something wrong with him too and say proudly “I’ll vote Third Party!” Can they say Perot?

I will get my bumper sticker tomorrow and start the work to defeat Obama! Beyond ANY conservative candidate’s flaws ...my main goal is to get rid of Obama. then also get as many conservatives into the Senate an dcongress and locally as possible. That’s what grown ups do....

I wonder what these posters would say if Perry picks Bachman as VP?

Everybody from Texas feels that way about Perry, but he’s the longest term Governor we’ve had and he kicked Bill White’s butt last time. No easy feat as White is every welfare recipients candidate.

“if you don’t support Perry then Obama will win, and you don’t want that do you?”

Remind you of 2008? "If you don't support McCain..."

We know how well that turned out...

Well, TX is a pretty diverse state and it’s probably a lot like herding cats. In addition, people forget that the Gov is weak, the Lt. Gov has the powerful position.

I am not trying to persuade you of anything. I don’t support pro-amnesty candidates. Bush and McCain were enough.

I can do without a man who is for an open border.

Barack Hussein Obama thanks you for carrying his agitprop water, MamaB.

I could back him.

While some are already labeling him a RINO, he’s in a completely different league as some of the Republican’s recent offerings (Bush, McCain, Huckster, etc.) There’s no way that I want to see this trend continue with Romney. No. Way.

So forget 3rd party, because no matter how you cut it, Obama’s re-election would be a real catastrophe.

Obama's first term gave us the Tea Party...wonder what a second one would do?

Romney was viable as a candidate to YOU or just that you saw him as a potential winner?

At the speech tonight in Waterloo, the report says the following:
Later, Perry called for a strong response to illegal immigration that has plagued Texas. He promised to use the military along with the border patrol and to work with the next Mexican president after the country’s 2013 election to develop a strategy for protecting the border.

I am being consistent. I posted the Palin Univision interview to demonstrate that she supported amnesty in the past and has never moved away from that position despite some word games to disguise it since. An amnesty will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen.,

I can see the post now:

"Reagan, no way am I going to vote for that RINO. Why, when he was governor of California, he RAISED TAXES! And, for cryin' out loud, the guy was a Democrat! Forget Reagan, I'm voting 3rd party".
