I just committed myself 15 mins ago. My first round donation is done. Was always looking for the winnable conservative candidate with extensive executive experience. Between Romney and Perry, choice is clear. Only other possible entrant is Palin and she interested me as a reform minded GOP Governor who was a VP candidate. While she may enter the race and be more to the right of Perry, I am not looking for the "right most" candidate.
He will not get my vote. I will write in Gen. Ben Raines first.

One can never know 100%. Got to pick a horse, bet on it and run it to win it. Then, once our horse wins, keep the heat on to ensure agenda stays straight and narrow to our desires. Then, help elect as many GOP candidates to congress as possible.
Not willing to stand up to the Mexican hoard, his only shot is to start talking Texas secession and mean it.
Otherwise he is nothing more than the worst qualities of W and MYTH ROMNEY combined.
As I recall, the good General never wanted to be President. He’d have voted for “Smoot” first.
I can do without a man who is for an open border.Really. How about the truth:
Texas has a lot of unique features, including a 1,200 mile international border and a long history of strong relations with Mexico. The security of that border is one of Washington's essential roles yet they continue their record of abject failure in that area. From:http://www.ontheissues.org/2011_CPAC.htmAnd then:
I am proposing a $100 million investment in a more secure border. There is no such thing as homeland security without border security. It is not hyperbole to say terrorists view our international border with Mexico as a prime point of entry--that is the conclusion of the U.S. intelligence community. Ok ... hope your pen doesn’t run out of ink ...
“If hes the nominee, Im going third party. “
Yeah, that’ll help beat Obama ......... NOT
Another vote for Obama. He’s piling them up here on the board the past couple days.
Good for you!
My Husband signed us up on his website last night for do volunteering on his campaign here in SC.
I want a bumper sticker.
The message is simple, Perry concluded, educacion es el futuro, y si se puede. Education is the future, and (echoing Cesar Chavezs slogan) yes we can.
Exactly right ...
I am in! Victory looks too good to snorkle with bots and the too pure for school sorts. I’m ready for some grins.
Why don’t you just write-in Obama? Six one way, half dozen the other.
See http://www.ontheissues.org/Rick_Perry.htm#Immigration
Facts are good. They separate conservatives from DU lib idjits.
Even the NumbersUsa folks, who gave all the candidates bad marks (Perry D-, Bachmann B-, Palin D), said he was good on securing the borders.
Me too. If the Establishment Republicans close out the Tea Party in the primaries, then we need to get our own candidate. The Tea Party can capture the hearts and minds of America better than Obama, Perry or Romney. All three are a bunch of phonies. A Tea Party candidate can definitely win as a third party candidate.
Rick Perry -- in no way, shape or form -- represents Tea Party ideals. He would be a disaster.
.
Who isn’t for open borders? I’d like to know.
