DETROIT (WXYZ) - It was a deadly night in the city of Detroit. From 6:00 am Friday, August 12th to 6:00 am Saturday, August 13th, a total of fifteen people were shot in the city. Six of those victims died at a total of 9 separate shooting scenes.
Mayor Dave Bing's office released the following statement:
"Reducing violent crime is our number one priority. Chief Godbee and the men and women of the Detroit Police Department are working around the clock to bring these criminals to justice. Our community must continue to work with us to stop this kind of violence. Every resident deserves to be safe and feel safe in their neighborhood."
That is right...because democrats in their hearts are mostly tyrants...they just think they are helping people with their brand of taxation and tyranny. The facts do not matter much as long as they are getting their cushy incomes and pensions.
In all fairness, one event accounted for six of the shootings.......I guess the event was a welcoming home party for some thug who was just released from prison.
I think their last thought and wish was that they had drawn first.......
Couple things nascarnation,
This kind of crap has gone on in cities like Detroit, Chicago, N.Y. etc for a long time.
You can pour as much money down the pit as you will but until welfare as a way of living is a thing of the past then fathers will continue to ignore their pbabies who will continue to live the welfare madness.
Also ya think anything will come of the Johnson Busch pissing match?
Johnson/Busch is kind of the flavor of the day.
All sports need some personal spite to fire up the fans.
“Detroit is kinda like Beirut...”
I might suggest that Detroit is more like Liberia or Sierra Leone. Do a youtube or liveleak search on “Liberian Civil War” (ditto for Sierra Leone)...and you’ll see street gangs with names like the “Buck@ss Naked Boys” slaughtering their rivals.
Liberia and Sierra Leone?
Damn, I best cancel my vacation plans.
Send in Robocop...maybe he can deal with the liberal-progressive infestation that continues to destroy Detroit.... /s =.=
"I'll buy that for a dollar."
There is no greater incentive to acquire a practical education than the performance of labor-intensive tasks in one's youth. I came to the conclusion while baling hay, cutting tobacco, and building seawalls and piers, that my academic studies were the means to not spend the rest of my life doing hard, dirty work.
That isn't elitist, nor snobbery--I still like doing hard, dirty, work--but I could see the physical toll such had taken on those older men with whom I worked, and it didn't take long to realize the guys who sweated least on any given job seemed to make the most money.
Liberal elites supported blacks who pushed socialist/victim-hood lines - ideas that had little to do with American black culture before the 1960;s - and that's why we have the mess we have today with dependency, flash mobs, criminal behaviors, kids who can't read etc...
That conforms with my observations as well.
The same Liberals who set this mess up and have tried to blame 'whitey', would say it is "racist" or some such to point this out, but it is true, nonetheless.
What a half century of perpetual Democrat rule will get you, courtesy of Google Maps:
Keep heading east on Robinwood. It’s hard to believe that this is an American city.
Years ago here of FR I was accused of being racist for stating the fact that, per capita, far more violent crimes were committed by blacks than by whites. I had to defend myself by posting a rather lengthy post with data and charts and links directly to the DOJ crime statistics page.
Detroit is nothing more than the logical conclusion of years of liberal utopia.
Their response when you post facts is that the DOJ is racist, that is why there are more blacks in prison than whites.
*facepalm*
I know, it is very hard to have a reasonable conversation with these idiots. Congrats and standing tall and doing your research, posting facts, and giving it your all.
