DETROIT (WXYZ) - It was a deadly night in the city of Detroit. From 6:00 am Friday, August 12th to 6:00 am Saturday, August 13th, a total of fifteen people were shot in the city. Six of those victims died at a total of 9 separate shooting scenes.
Mayor Dave Bing's office released the following statement:
"Reducing violent crime is our number one priority. Chief Godbee and the men and women of the Detroit Police Department are working around the clock to bring these criminals to justice. Our community must continue to work with us to stop this kind of violence. Every resident deserves to be safe and feel safe in their neighborhood."
One more reason he should vacation in Detroit. Michael Moore can put him up with some colorful dems... (wasn’t their a rabbit lady?)

Obama takes a lot of vacations - no reason why he couldn't visit a different major dem city each time.
Obama and elite dems could showcase the joys of dem ideas in action. Detroit's a charming example of liberal ideas in action - but just one of many 'vacation' stops.
Maybe Philly next - an adventure into flash mobbing or party with the thousands in the 'community' on Social Security Disability. Maybe visit the bordered up homes sold to people who had no chance of ever being able to make payments... people fannie and freddie set up to crash housing across the United States...
So much to see - so little time.
Of course, his “advisers” mentioned these liberal stops to Obama....as a way to showcase his prog “feelings”.

I know that is not a PC statement and the left will call you all kinds of names for saying that.....but they can’t argue with facts on this.

Why the black 'community' and what is it?
When blacks weren't able to vote - they created 'community leaders'. Usually they were highly respected members of the clergy or business. It was necessary because they were unable to elect leaders. It was a good solution to a bad problem.
But in the 60's the concept of 'community' was changed for the sake of liberal elites - people who pulled the power strings in black neighborhoods. Because black communities tended to be conservative at that time, blacks elected the same types of natural leaders. Liberal elites did NOT connect well with conservative black leaders. To undercut the power of elected conservative leaders in black communities, liberals came up with the idea that the 'leaders' in the community would NOT be elected - but 'appointed' by liberal elites. The REAL power went to outrageous poverty pimps and loud violent groups like the black panthers.
Self appointed poverty pimps like Jesse Jackson took over. Money flowed from liberal elites to self appointed blacks who yelled the liberal elite line. Up until the 60's blacks had stable marriages, strong work ethics, and were grounded in 'guns and religion' like other conservatives.
Liberal elites supported blacks who pushed socialist/victim-hood lines - ideas that had little to do with American black culture before the 1960;s - and that's why we have the mess we have today with dependency, flash mobs, criminal behaviors, kids who can't read etc...
I think Obama only perceives that which he chooses. His reality is in his mind only.

Don’t go to a party when the guest of honor just got out of prison, five shot, one killed. Also when an eighteen year old gets a new gun, run like hell, he killed a fourteen year friend.

I’ve always heard that Detroit has never really recovered from the ‘67 riots. The rioting set in motion a chain of events in which everybody, black and white, who were able to leave, moved out. Unfortunately, the remaining people left behind are mired in crime and poverty and squalor.

It’s the same old story and I don’t see the tragedy in it... Not any more.
I would guess that they are consuming a significant part of the tax money we pay. So even if you don't value the human lives that are lost, you should at least be concerned at the financial cost to US taxpayers.
