DETROIT (WXYZ) - It was a deadly night in the city of Detroit. From 6:00 am Friday, August 12th to 6:00 am Saturday, August 13th, a total of fifteen people were shot in the city. Six of those victims died at a total of 9 separate shooting scenes.
Mayor Dave Bing's office released the following statement:
"Reducing violent crime is our number one priority. Chief Godbee and the men and women of the Detroit Police Department are working around the clock to bring these criminals to justice. Our community must continue to work with us to stop this kind of violence. Every resident deserves to be safe and feel safe in their neighborhood."
I wouldn't expect anything less from the city that gave us all John Conyers, Kwame Kilpatrick, Carolyn Kilpatrick, Barbara Rose Collins, Coleman Young, and the Detroit School Boards.
The democrat politicians are demanding that we surrender and retreat from Detroit because it’s become a quagmire!

Not just Democrats, black Democrats. Wherever there is a high concentration of blacks, there is a high concentration of crimes.

I wonder how long it’s going to be before the country gets it. It’s not the guns that kill, it’s the demonic, idiotic social atmosphere that is being created with the entitlement attitude, combined with drugs that kill.

Six new DemocRAT voters.
In 1981, Houston, Texas had 701 murders. That seems high to me.
The only thing good coming out of Detroit nowadays is, “Hard Core Pawn”.
They didn't say, but it's the city of Detroit. It doesn't even have to be said here. Shooters were very likely black. Victims were very likely black. Small chance it was Mexican if it was in Southwest. The only white population anymore are elderly, some Downtown hipsters, some Romanians near Dearborn (maybe), and what's left of the Warrendale/Parkland city workers that didn't leave.
Sounds like it is time to wall off Detroit and make movies the reality.
Detroit was the City of the Future in Democratic Party promotions. They don't talk about it that way now do they? They own the total failure, just like Oakland, CA and Tacoma, Wa.
I worked in the N. Shepherd and 610 area where much of those murders took place back then. At times is was like a war zone. I actually thought the number was a bit higher that that though. I do remember that we had the distinction at the time of being the murder capital of the nation during those murderous years.
Obama needs to take his vacation in Detroit. He needs to see a city run with democrat ideas, for democrats, by democrats, and see the horror first hand...
I’m from Houston, and have witnessed some of those murders in bars and nightclubs, it used to be a very wild town.
That was quick and smart.
