Romney was not a write in. Perry was a write in.

Thank you for explaining the ‘nuances’. Really, I never understood their significance but never ‘investigated’ what they were all about and why.
Thanks again. (and yes WHOO HOOO!lol!)

Pawlenty and Santorum were something of s surprise (pleasant surprise in the latter case). The IA Straw Poll imo is a winnower, but really never establishes the ultimate winner.
Does anyone know the last winner of either the IA Straw Poll or IA caucuses who won the party nomination and went on to the White House? .

what I don’t understand is who are these Paulbots? Their certainly not conservatives. And when you watch their behavior and actions, they act more like liberals.

Romney was a WRITE-IN. You folks all realize that, right?
Most of the Romney hater-bots don't realize it or don't want to realize it.

If Sarah stays out and campaigns for Michelle instead... it’s all over for Seal Team Soetoro.

This retard showed his true colors with his why should we care if Iran gets nukes remark. Then the jerk blamed the current situation on the US because we "installed the Shah of Iran".
Detestable little twerp.

It’s early so who knows what will happen but it appears Romney may have been the big loser today.

Most of the Romney hater-bots don't realize it or don't want to realize it. Only problem is that is factually incorrect. Romney was on the ballot. He was not a write in as is being claimed.. The Iowa GOP put him and Newt and Huntsman on the ballot.

But he neither actively campaigned nor shipped in supporters like the other candidates die. Because the straw-poll means very little, anyway.
To: DRey
less total votes than a large single precinct in some congressional districts. Amazing how much stock the amount of folks it would take to fill a smaller than average basketball arena are given.

I wouldn’t bet on it . A hell of a lot can happen between now , and say next October . You can be sure that the Obama machine has plenty of tricks up their collective sleeve . Personally speaking I don’t see Bachmann getting the nod . One man’s opinion . There really is nobody in the Republican field that excites me , to be honest , although I’m seriously looking at Cain .

All that fuss for fewer than 17K votes ? And, really, with results no more dependable than an online poll. Would love to know how much $ and time was spent on each vote by candidate?

He burned himself out last election. He's lucky he still is a Senator.Herman Cain ran in 2004 for the US Senate but lost. You are talking about John McCain, different persons, and different names
