At a fundraiser in New York, Obama likened his efforts to reform government to those of Andrew Cuomo, but then Obama also compared what he was going through to the trials and tribulations of Martin Luther King, Jr. (via Sam Foster):
Before leaving, Obama likened himself to one more figure. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“I think that we forget when he was alive there was nobody who was more vilified, nobody who was more controversial, nobody who was more despairing at times,” he said.

the guy went to elite private schools his whole life and has never put in a hard day of work during that span and, yet, always plays the victim. This, of course, is due to major insecurities that comes from being 50 years old and having never done anything on your own except vote “present” all your life.

Obama has zero connection to Martin Luther King.
What a shameless liar. Obama has nothing to do with the African American experience of slavery and discrimination. His black father was from Kenya, spent three years in America then returned to Kenya. Obama’s black side is imported from Kenya. His white side does have roots in America and goes back some generations.

Exactly what sacrifices has this man made on behalf of his cause.
Aside from both of them being good speakers, tell me something that Obama has done.
And when it comes to speaking, tell me more than “hope and change.”. MLK could write a great speech because he knew what he was talking about. He could deliver it without reading off a prompter. And really, in thirty years are you going to get chills listening to any of Obama’s speeches?

I was in college at the time. MLK was treated as a hero, not a villain, except maybe by members of the Democrat party.
Obama was all of 6 or 7 when MLK was murdered. And just where was Obama living the first 6-7 years of his life?
Obama comparing himself to MLK is no big deal.
The left hath already anointed him Messiah, and Newsweek calls him god. Obama hath already proclaimed that his anointment marked “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”
That the Anointed One would deign to liken himself to a mere mortal is evidence of his “profound humility, and knowledge of [his] own limitations” while he dwells among us in the White House.
I don’t recall MLK ever whining like a spoiled teenager when the DEMOCRAT Party led by Robert KENNEDY heading the Justice Department harassed him, threw him in jail, and tried to play games like setting him up with a prostitute.
Obama whines if someone says they don’t agree with him.
