Sarah Palin has told Sky News that the fear of media attacks on her family is preventing her from joining the race for the White House.

Disagree with this...if she wasn't afraid of anything then there would be no 'concern' for the family that would be preventing her from running.

It’s my understanding that her parents had received death threats and were under protection - it’s one thing to be called names but this is something else entirely. And the name calling and the lies are bad enough! My family was once involved in something reported by the media that we wished hadn’t happened and I have to say it was horrible. The Palin family are very courageous and I give them every credit for not backing down.
I really hope that Sarah runs - to me she is exactly who we need. But if she doesn’t run I will understand.
But, if she isn’t running - why is she in Iowa?

Solzhenitsyn gave a commencement speech at Harvard in 1978 and he said that the press in America was no better than what they had in communist countries because the press was allowed to defame and ruin you with innuendo or lies with secret sources and never held accountable. The press could make you look like an idiot or liar—whatever. The Truth did not matter—just like in the Stalin’s government.
He also said that the legal system here was a joke—there was no Justice—that there was just a bunch of legalism and decisions based on arbitrary law—not based on Universal Truth and Right Reason according to Nature—which is the root of Just Law.
BTW—the press ruined McCarthy—he was really popular with the public until the communist led committees set him up and the communists in the news agencies printed lies and they were repeated over and over and over-—until lies become the truth (Blacklisted by History—the True Story of Sen. McCarthy).
The press has had the power to shape and steer what the masses think since the 1900’s-—just with the internet, and talk radio, they lost total control, so truth could actually slip through sometimes.
Truth is necessary in free government and the US press has been feeding us a pack of lies for a century.
What on earth would she give props to T-Paw about? There is absolutely nothing redeemable about him. He sucked in the debate last night.
The person that deserved the most props for last nights debate was Santorum, who, when asked whether abortion should be legal in the case of rape, said “NO”. Since rapist won’t be punished with death, why should the baby be punished with death?
T-Paw followed that up with a half-hearted, tepid answer on abortion. Why would Sarah praise him for anything?
I have heard similar about the threats to her family (extended included)..
I think she is one smart girl.. and I also think that she consulted with them before she even considered this run.. I can’t speak for her.. not only am I NOT in AK, I am on the other half of the world.. but I have been trying to keep up with her.
I don’T really give an Obama’s ass (a rats ass) what the media says about her, she knows exactly what she is doing.. and she probably knows better than the politicians that have ran for president since Reagan..
It is entirely up to her and her family what she chooses to do. She has seen more biased crap thrown at her since Nixon (he was guilty.. just as guilty as the rest.. except he was caught)
She has withstood all they can throw ate her.. they have nothing left to throw.. but repeat what they have already done.. sadly, many will fall for the crap.. PDSers here are a perfect example... They MAY be conservative, but they still follow the LSM drool/vomit... >.<
All I can suggest is to vote with your heart.. I will NOT tell you who to vote for.. it is up to you.. but I personally recommend you NOT to vote for people who give the image that they have the same ideals as the founders of our precious country.. but as soon as they are elected, turn and stab us in the back >.<
You described all recent stuff, the attacks on the children especially Bristol were vicious from 2008, Bristol could either stand up for herself, or let the media destroy her and her future.
Bristol has used the media attacks to turn herself into a spokeswoman for conservative causes, that is a good thing.
