Michele Bachmann
Bachmann is serving her 3rd full term in the U.S. House. Founder of the House Tea Party Caucus, she earned a Master of Laws degree, worked as a tax attorney, and was a foster mother for 23 teenagers. She is a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Herman Cain
Cain is the former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza and former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He lost the Georgia Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat in 2004. He was recently the host of Atlanta-based radio show.
Newt Gingrich
Gingrich served as the 58th Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999. He represented Georgia's 6th congressional district as a Republican member from 1979 to 1999. He has a PhD in modern European history.
Ron Paul
Paul is serving his 11th full term in the U.S. House. He’s an obstetrician-gynecologist and was the Libertarian nominee for president in 1988. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for president in 2008
Tim Pawlenty
Pawlenty served two terms as governor of Minnesota, from 2002 to 2010. He served in the Minnesota House from 1992 until 2002. He is the son of a truck driver.
Mitt Romney
Romney was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts (2003 to 2007) and former CEO of Bain Capital, a private equity investment firm. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican 2008 nomination for president. He has an MBA (Harvard) and JD (Harvard Law).
Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
Jon Huntsman
Huntsman was Utah Governor, former ambassador to China under Barack Obama.

I have never seen a politician more schizoid than Ron Paul. I love what he has to say about the economy, on that he is just wonderful. But he knows NOTHING about foreign relations or national security and that is utterly frightening.
Ron Paul says the Chinese are more dangerous than radical islamists who hate Americans and non-muslims, welcome death and believe that their God want them to kills us all and if they die doing it they will have virgins.

Ron Paul suggest Iran has a "rational" reason to want a nuclear weapon because they're surrounded by countries with nuclear weapons. Says free trade, stay out of the wars, no sanctions. Says we should mind our own business.
Santorum defends the sanction policy that he worked on in the Senate.
Cain is the big winner tonight. Newt had the best run of the night. Bachmann showed courage.
(And his followers are perhaps even scarier! Shut those little boys in the audience UP!)

I like Bachman a lot better than Obama but don’t think she could ever win. Sarah would not have fallen into that trap with getting into with Pawlenty.
Ron is a nutty conservative version of Nader. Hope he drops out. I’d feel safer with Hillary Clinton as President.
