Having seen him occasionally, his routines and shows are HEAVILY steeped in the mexican culture, to the point where a reasonable person would assume they he was obsessed with his race.

I'm sure he believes that his poor ratings aren't the cause of his firing, so it must be his race.

Note to George: While there are a lot of “latinos” in the U.S. a surprisingly large amount of them DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH! Maybe telemundo would be a better venue for someone who considers himself a mexican first and everything else is secondary.
