A President In Over His Head Should Resign
IBD Editorials ^ | August 10, 2011 | DOUG MACKINNON

Posted on 08/10/2011 4:57:46 PM PDT by Kaslin

As our economy continues to self-destruct; U.S. credit is shockingly downgraded; home prices remain at historic lows; unemployment rises; small businesses continue to close their doors; public-employee-bloated cities, towns, states and employers continue to default; race riots flare, Mexican drug cartels cross our sovereign border at will to establish ultraviolent operations; test scores for public school children continue to plummet; the health care system falls under the control of a failed socialist model; terrorism rises, and the world outside our borders spirals into deeper and more dangerous chaos, a serious and very legitimate question needs to be asked:

In the best interests of our nation and the American people, should President Obama resign his office?

Supporters of the president will be offended by the very question and more than likely fire the usual "racist" accusations my way. But it's a question that at least needs to be debated.

Even if Obama loses the election in November 2012, he will still remain in office until Jan. 20, 2013. If, as many people now believe, Obama is in way over his head and dramatically ill-equipped to handle the critical responsibilities of his office, then it seems logical to assume he can still do quite a bit more damage to our nation from now until then.

As to why he is so far over his head and so unqualified to be president, one of his strongest supporters just outlined the answer in a lengthy article for the liberal (and Obama-defending) New York Times.

In the piece, Drew Westen, a committed liberal, articulated his hopes and disappointments of Obama. By doing so, he (in a Nixon-going-to-China moment) pinpointed exactly why the Obama administration has been such an unmitigated disaster.

Yep. About a month of stewing in his own juices after the election results are certified and by golly, it’s 12/21/2012, time to end the world...

Yes, well here is the rub about Obama resigning— does ANYONE think that “Plugs” Biden is up to the job?

In over his head? Perhaps everything is going according to plan. Alinsky's and Cloward-Piven's plan is being followed to the letter.

In the end, it won't work IMHO because regular Americans will rise up in anger. But Obama doesn't know that...he has been completely indoctrinated. As he has said, "I believe my own bullsh!t."

An administration is far more than one individual. Absent Obama, a “President Biden” would be surrounded by the same cast. By all indications, Biden would be equally or more incompetent as he is less intelligent but more inclined to action vis a vis O. There are really no good options at this point.

Maybe Doug needs to ponder who’s most unqualified, Obama or Biden. That’s one hell of a choice, isn’t it?

Of course he isn’t, but Obama resigning would create a grand surge in the economy and would be such an overall positive event, he wouldn’t have to do anything. I’ll take plugs over ears anyday.

Hey, Doug and the IBD editorial staff...he's not in over his head.

To understand what is happening with obama, one needs to put away one's preconceptions that he wants what you and I want and think outside the box.

Go read the words of his mentors and those he surrounds himself with. Listen to their speeches.

Then listen to his words when he is speaking from the heart with conviction rather than with a teleprompter.

Now, let your mind get around the idea that the economy and society are going exactly as he wants them to.

See what I mean? Pretty obvious, huh?

Remember when Barry was elected (the Office Of The President-Elect) and the calls for Bush to step down early so O'Zero could be sworn in right away so he could get to work 'fixing' the country?

My, my, my how times have changed.

There aren’t a bunch of rich people sitting around playing the stock market for a living rather than holding a 9-5 job. They are going to put their money to work somewhere else if it is not in US stocks.

He won’t resign because he’s nobody to blame. Either that or he’s looking for someone to blame so he can resign.

The very last thing I want to see is an Obama resignation ! It lets him slough off responsibility for the debt crisis, escape the looming gun-running debacle, and abdicate his responsibility for a chaotic foreign policy threatening to descend into regional - if not global- conflict.

Moreover it empowers the left to play the “race card” as a board-sweeping trump to conceal the President’s blatent difficiencies behind a smoke-screen of racism. >PS

The people who went to great lengths to pave the way for this guy's presidency, cover up his past and protect him every step of the way aren't likely to just let him resign. We should realize by now that Obama isn't just some guy who lucked into the job.

I'm sure if we really knew what was happening behind the scenes, our hair would stand on end.
