President Obama is heading to farm country on Aug. 15, 2011.

(CNSNews.com) - Don't call it a campaign trip: On August 15-17, President Obama will travel to the Midwest on a "three-day economic bus tour," making stops in southern Minnesota, northeastern Iowa and western Illinois, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Tuesday.

"The President will discuss ways to grow the economy, strengthen the middle class and accelerate hiring in communities and towns across the nation and hear directly from Americans, including local families and small business owners," the USDA news release said.

"The President knows we must do everything we can to promote economic growth, restore confidence in our nation’s future and restore the sense of optimism for future generations.”

Obama will roll into Iowa two days after the Republican straw poll at Iowa State University in Ames.

They should play the “Send in the Clowns” theme song when he appears..I give him credit for having nerve, him talking about the economy, the mess HE created, it would be like OJ Simpson speaking to a battered women’s shelter

"... the U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Tuesday."

must be more farm welfare being doled out and/or promised. IIRC, the last RINO/RAT farm bill included 2/3 of it being for more foods stamps.

I hope Sarah waves to him as her bus passes his bus stuck in a ditch.

“Obama’s trip to battleground states was first announced last week.”

Trying to recall if it was an “Economic” bus tour when first announced.

I never thought I say this but it appears a growing number of people are getting sick of this empty suit. Not enough, but more than there used to be.

“The America Under the Bus tour.”

There you go. Or maybe the, ‘I Broke It You Bought It’ tour.

But my favorite would be The Middle Finger Tour.

That’s what he’s giving us, by charging us for the tour and heading off to a taxpayer funded Martha’s Vineyard vacation afterward.

I also read she’s planning on visiting Missouri, and Reagan’s home town in Illinois. That’s 35 miles west of me. I’ll be there if I can get the schedule. In any case, it’ll be interesting to compare her turnout to his.

No doubt crops will wither and die in its wake. Everything this assclown touches turns into a crap sandwich.

Bus tour, bus tour, yeah! That’s the ticket. We gotta move de bus anyway ‘cause it’s crowded down theare, and I’ve never been on a bus and need dat on my resume, and it will take a battalion to secure my travel, and Janet Napolitano will have an excuse to take over the interstate highway and finger-f... all those who have quit flying to avoid debauchement, and every time the bus goes down a highway where there are seven miles of traffic cones and seven people working (or six watching the other guy work) he will be reminded of the shovel-ready projects that weren’t, and he will wonder where the money went. Did it get spread around or stolen, or, God forbid, spent as it should have been. A bus trip in the midwest could be a great opportunity for Obismark to have a religious retreat and contemplate something, or maybe he saw the movie, Picnic, and anticipates a Labor Day stop somewhere where he gets to actually screw his first, or just another, commoner directly instead of undifferentiated vicarious and figurative commoner screwing.

There are a lot of towns that are hurting for revenue. I hope he gets lots of traffic tickets on his tour.

That’s awesome! I hope you can go and get to meet our next President.

Most will be comparing crowd sizes.
But also compare the cost of both tours: Sarah’s frugal and efficient bus tour at no cost to the American taxpayer.

0bama’s bloated wasteful, worthless (what is the point of his again?) paid for on the backs of the beaten down American taxpayer

Queue Joe The Plummer v.2.0.
I’ll be looking forward to the idiot podium quotes.
Does anyone have a picture of a bus with TelePrompTer side mirrors?
