Yesterday Wisconsin State Republicans faced recall elections. Their crime in the twisted minds of democrats? These republicans voted to balance the WI state budget. As you all know, 14 democrat state senators fled our state to avoid taking the vote on that budget bill.
Last night we learned that the recall elections from Tuesday August 9th, resulted in 2 of the 6 republicans being taken out of office.
The count before the election was 19 repubicans to 14 democrats in the state senate.
After yesterday's elections we now have 17 republicans against 16 democrats.
Sorry for the seriously bad grammar. My husband was giving me play-by-play reporting of the Packer game as I was trying to type. I know that’s not an excuse - unless you live in Wisconsin.
I asked the AdminModerator to put this fund raising thread in the sidebar today, but got no response.
: (
I would like more FReepers to be aware that we need dollars to fight the dem machine.
Maybe the only way to do it is to start a new thread.
ARG.
This is at the top in the activism sidebar. No need to repost it.
Gee, I still don’t see it on the Front Page(news/activism) or Breaking News(news/activism) sidebars.
I linked it to Diana’s post “Wisconsin Holds The Line” though.
I must not be on the right page or something. Wouldn’t be the first time.
Anywho, time for bed. Almost midnight!
I found it Jean.
I wasn’t looking at the homepage before.
I was looking at the sidebar next to the list of articles.
I always notice things there, in “Front Page News” and “Breaking News”.
I was hoping the moderator would list it there.
Oh well, too late now.
Thanks TheConservativeParty.
I wish I lived in a recall district.
All I could do was donate to the repubs running against the demoncrats.
Hey thanks for pinging your list!
Still time to help The Cheeseheads!
Thank you very much!

I am the last Cheesehead with a dial-up connection.
Sadly, I won’t be able to hear the music posted.
Is it “My Little Runaway” the oldie but goodie?
: )
My pleasure.
Thanks for that info!
I just got rid of dial-up about 6 months ago. The price per month was so incredibly cheap that I couldn’t pass it up. But I bit the bullet and upgraded. I hate paying extra - but so far, it’s been worth it.
So ... this guy just defeated a union-backed Dem in a recall election, and now he’s going to join the Dems?
I don’t believe it for a second. Seems like disinformation to me to add confusion to the Tuesday Dem recalls.
I remember when modems had two speeds 110 AND 300.
For you young'uns that's 110 Bits per second and 300 Bits per second. And when 2600 was not just a magazine.
In another post, it states that Dale Schultz did NOT offer to switch back over to the dimTurds.

See my post 98. Schultz was not in the recall elections last week, and according to another post 77, Schultz did not offer to flip back to the demoRATs (although Schultz is a RINO as I understand). In any case, it would be absolutely GREAT to defeat both of the cowardly dimTurds in their recall elections this coming Tuesday, Aug 16
You got it, Del Shannon.
