Yesterday Wisconsin State Republicans faced recall elections. Their crime in the twisted minds of democrats? These republicans voted to balance the WI state budget. As you all know, 14 democrat state senators fled our state to avoid taking the vote on that budget bill.
Last night we learned that the recall elections from Tuesday August 9th, resulted in 2 of the 6 republicans being taken out of office.
The count before the election was 19 repubicans to 14 democrats in the state senate.
After yesterday's elections we now have 17 republicans against 16 democrats.
FReepers, I donated to the statewide recall fight last month. It was for the recall defense of all the republicans.
Today, I decided to donate again, this time directly to the 2 republicans who are trying to oust 2 democrat cowards who ran to Illinois to hide.
Here are the websites to donate to if you are inspired to help us in Wisconsin overthrow the public union and liberal stranglehold we've endured for many years.
Kim Simac

Johnathan Steitz

***note: the second site was not able to be reached as of 2:45pm Central Time today, at the time of this posting.
I emailed the Steitz campaign to inform them of this development.
The site worked fine when I donated this morning.
I suspect dem dirty tricks, OR it could be that the site crashed from lots of donations. I hope the latter is the case.
Thank you for reading my plea for donations.
Please correct my title, I spelled “democrat” wrong.
Forgot the “Oh!”.

There. Fixed it for ya.
Excellent! Thanks for posting this.
Let’s win these two seats!
Jean, I am a bit alarmed that the Steitz website has been down for at least an hour.
I emailed them, but who knows if or when they will see it.
I have no phone number to call them since the number would be “on the site” I can’t get to.
If you have a way to contact the Jonathan Steitz campaign, I’d really appreciate it!
I am listening now to Mark Belling talking about yesterday’s election!
Ping!
Thank You!
What do the numbers look like in these districts? Did they go Obama or McCain? Registered Repubs vs. Dems?
Thank you for getting the word out. Wisconsin conservatives, Tea Party folks and Republicans have really held the line in impressive fashion through all these union temper tantrums. Nothing would be better than to knock off one of these Democrats next week.
From what I can tell, Kim Simac has an especially decent chance to win. I guess Steitz is facing a real uphill struggle in a heavy liberal district, but Simac has a solid chance of grabbing a seat for us and really kicking the left while their down. Both could really use our support.
Here is another website that will inform you on the Steitz campaign.
It is the Republican Party of Kenosha County site.
Thanks for the links. Donated!!!
I just tried the site again, and for me it is still not working.
: (
I found the Kenosha Republicans site which has a phone number on it, and I want to call them and let them know the site might have something wrong with it.
And yes funny FReepers, “I am logged on, and my Beeber is set on Stune, and there are no Moose around and my sister has never been bitten by one.”
Oh Bless You!
Looks like the Steitz website worked fine for you then.
Maybe my computer is the problem with me getting back to that site.
I do have a dial-up (ducks to avoid thrown fruit, because I am the last person in the Midwest to still have a dial-up).
What do the numbers look like in these districts? Did they go Obama or McCain? Registered Repubs vs. Dems?”
I don’t know the answer to that.
However, I do know that ALL SIX of the recall seats on Tuesday were won by Obama in 2008!
So not only did those seats flip in 2010, but the voters underlined the fact that, yes, they DID know what they were doing!!!!
We’re gonna oust at least ONE of those Dems!
I will defer your questions to Jean S and Longbow1969.
I live in Dane County and am unfamiliar with the local politics in the Simac and Steitz districts.
I just want to kick democrat butt next Tuesday!
I just spoke with The Republican Party of Kenosha County, and the web guy there is going to check and see if everything is OK with the “steitzforsenate.com” site.
I was going to use “Demonrats” in the title.
That’s what I call them, or just “The Rats” for short.
