Democrats across the U.S., watching a roiling stock market and a stagnating economy, say President Barack Obama needs a message and policy response as big as the crisis moment the nation is facing.
Adjusting his tone amid those complaints, Mr. Obama is toughening his demands for short-term jobs spending and drawing sharper contrasts to his Republican opponents both in Congress and on the presidential campaign trail.
Plunging stock prices, a downgrade of the U.S. credit rating and a near-default on federal debt have triggered fears that Mr. Obama is doing too little to cure an ailing economy and to persuade Americans that his existing plans are the right prescription.

Obama already has the Justice Department in his pocket...his 33 Czars...the FBI & supposedly CIA and Lord knows who else. America has been hijacked by a Marxist with the determination to Socialize her....he will eventually hang for it.
Another man who strongly believed in “government as a partner with the private sector” was Benito Mussolini.
Obama’s re-election campaign strategy. Don’t push any new agenda except gridlock. Blame the economy on the tea party and the Republicans.
Obama certainly has his... enthusiasms.
Al Capone knew how to run a business and make money. Obama isn’t even close. Also Al’s most famout quote is “You get more with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word or a gun”. Obama is all threats, rage, and blame. He doesn’t understand that it is better to have part of a growing concern than all of a failing one. More John Gotti than Al Capone.
Dems read this as zero needs a catch-phrase soundbite for the "media" and other libs to parrot so it sounds like they have an idea and a plan, when all they really would have is a few catchy but empty words.
He should simply state, "Plan? This is my plan! And it is working to perfection, homies."
