David Cameron today gave the go ahead for police to use water cannons on rioters after children as young as nine looted stores and made off with bottles of wine and Vodka in fresh violence that flared around the UK yesterday.
The children wore tracksuits and innocently disregarded covering their faces as they ran through the shattered glass of supermarkets to fill their pockets with looted goods.
But today, the police were given the green light to use water cannons with 24 hours notice. Prime Minister David Cameron said that plans had been put in place to deal with the disorder using water cannons - the first time they have been used in the UK.
The comments were seen as u-turn on what Home Secretary Theresa May said earlier this week when she ruled out the use of water cannons. The 'softly softly' approach has been shelved and police will finally be given the backing to come down hard on offenders.
'Police are already authorised to use baton rounds and we agreed at Cobra that, while they are not currently needed, we now have in place contingency plans for water cannons to be available at 24 hours' notice,' Cameron said in a speech outside Downing Street this morning.
'Whatever resources the police need they will get. What ever tactics they feel they need they will have legal backing to do so.'
Mr Cameron said that the police would be checking offenders 'picture by picture' and they would not let 'phoney human rights' stand in the way of bringing rioters to justice.
He said that something was 'seriously wrong' with society 'when you see children as young as 12 or 13 looting and laughing'.

Mr Cameron insisted the 'fightback' by police was succeeding today after a fourth night of rioting across the country. He said a 'more robust approach' by Scotland Yard last night had prevented a repeat of the worst trouble.
The PM said it was 'simply not acceptable' that violence was taking place and had spread to Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham overnight.
'We will not put up with this in our country. We will not allow a culture of fear to exist on our streets.' ______________________________________________

They couldn’t use the water cannons on the adults, but now that the 9 year old kids are helping themselves, it is ok to blast them with water.
The only way to stop this rioting is to put a lot of people on the street, People like the military, and take the restraints off them.
You’ve got to hate parents who would send out their 9 yo children to loot stores in the hopes no one would bother a child. Just despicable.
I am not sure if water cannons will do much, maybe big sweeps of the areas and enforced curfews. Seize the streets, shut everything down and don’t let the people come out of their houses without a serious excuse until things quiet down.
They’re going into it in full Epic Fail mode with that 24 hour notice rule.
I watched a recorded epoisode of Pawn Stars last night. Rick went to Utah to a gun store to try to buy a Hotchkiss rotary cannon. 5 barrels, 37millimeter firing a 1 pound bullet.
That is what they should use on these thugs.

It appears that outside of London, a lot of these thugs actually were sort of “soccer hooligan” shaven-headed white kids. I was surprised, although since they also, like the blacks, live all of their lives on welfare and unemployment, with resentment stirred up among them by the left, I guess it’s to be expected. (Of course, the fact that they’re white may also be while the police feel freer to start using force now.)
But I did like the photo of the Sikhs defending their temple with those long knives and swords they carry! The immigrants appear to be unwilling to stand by and let their stuff be trashed. I read this morning that a group of Turks came out to defend their shops in London and the police actually tried to arrest one of them for “shoving” a thug, but all the other Turks began to get seriously angry and the cops decided that perhaps it would be better to devote their time to arresting the actual thugs and not people defending themselves.
It’s a crazy situation, British policing seems to be directed more at sparing the thugs than protecting the victims.
“Fourth night” indeed. There was a time in the UK when rioting of this nature would be crushed on its first night. The ravages of Labour have left Britain incredibly weak, and it looks like David Cameron is in the wrong party . . .

The “youths” will simply alert their comrades over their cell phones as to where the water cannons are stationed and then move their looting operations to undefended areas.
People around the world need to wake up.
