More people dependent upon the federal government for their next meal = more Demo(n)cRAT voters at the next general election.

Ubama really doesn't think any deeper than this.

Barry and his ‘RATS have definitely “fundamentally transformed” America. Hey Barry supporters! How’s that “hopey/changey” thing working out for ya?

One reason is that we continued to extend the length of time to receive benefits. It is now up to 99 weeks. We are changing unemployment payments into something resembling the European dole system. And we now have 45 million on food stamps.

A few more weeks and they can be removed from the Labor Force:

Yes I read yesterday that while there were fewer people actually working in July vs June, the unemployment rate went down because of more “discouraged workers” failing to seek employment.

I wonder how many of these folks are truly unhappy about their situation, and how many will support Baraq because of all the benefits being handed out.

I wonder how many of these recipients are illegally working under the table on the side ? As someone potentially looking forward to unemployment benefits as a time of pure misery I can’t imagine how anyone would choose it voluntarily.

True that! If we are to turn this nation around we must make it more profitable to work than to receive government benefits. This means:

Drill Baby Drill get the EPA out of the way (Gasoline at the pump in Venezuela last week 12 cents a gallon; Libya 42 cents, Iraq 52 cents) drilling at home works every time!

Energy costs down = Jobs up = cost of goods sold down = Economy up = more jobs = more exports = more jobs = more taxes collected = fewer citizens on unemployment/welfare = fewer benefits at gov (our) expense = less gov debt = less Gov = lower taxe rates = more economic activity = American Businesses coming back to America = more independent populace = more life, liberty, more pursuit of hapiness = more conservatives!

OMG what was I thinking; more conservative, free thinking, and independent Americans = no more Dupes = no more Democtatic party/Boehner/McConnel Republicans! We can’t have that!

“I wonder how many of these recipients are illegally working under the table on the side. As someone potentially looking forward to unemployment benefits as a time of pure misery I can’t imagine how anyone would choose it voluntarily.”

In the professional ranks, almost nobody is working under the table. How would we? As an unemployed program manager I could stand on the roadside with a cardboard sign reading “Will calculate earned value metrics for food. God bless.” Perhaps the flip side would read, “200 line MS Project schedule for beer.”

This month Fl. has added a means of forcing us deadbeats off the unemployment dole. We’ll have to enter online the name, address, title and phone number of the five people/companies we visited this week to seek employment. I’ve been applying online all over the country and I’ve had personal/email contact with three people. They specifically tell you, “don’t call.” I’m not sure how this will work out as I plan on putting the corporate address, phone number and the name Human Resources. If contacted, what will HR say? Did Gen.Blather apply here? We have no idea.

We all understand that unemployment is just another tax levied on companies. That’s why the state wants to make it difficult to get the benefit. Frankly, I think they should get this and all the other mandated payroll taxes off companies butts. If the state MUIST get involved in our welfare, fine, force everybody to buy a real unemployment insurance policy that we can cash in unused amount when we retire. (No, I don’t think this is a good idea either. I’m throwing it out their to deflect the liberal do-gooders.)

if they really want to work they will vote Rep so the country can get back to work... if they don't want to work, they will vote RAT and sit on the dole till it runs out

CONSIDER A DAILY CHANGE JAR TO OPERATE FR

You won't even miss the 25 or 50 cents, but at the end of the month you will have at least $5 to donate so FR can operate smoothly, or you will moan and grown and go into withdrawal when it is down, because of broken parts

I quit my job in mid May.

If, I were to collect unemployment comp. it would be just under $600 a week. (No, I'm not eligible.)

It would not be a real hardship for me, and it is not for many others who actually do collect it.

That is the problem, it takes away motivation because the benefits are to much, and too long.
