(US) Aid Money to Malawi Dependent on Complicity in Gay Rights Agenda

NEW YORK, August 4 (C-FAM) The small African nation of Malawi is at the forefront of efforts by Western governments to withhold aid for basic services in order to impose a homosexual agenda on unwilling developing countries.

This year, close to $350 million dollars of US financial aid was rescinded due to amendments in the country’s penal code criminalizing sodomy. Ultimately, Malawi acquiesced to bring its sodomy laws in line with those of the progressive West, but not without grave concerns about the new cultural imperialism on this issue.

“In as far as we cannot run away from the fact that we need their aid it is absurd for those countries to be forcing the country to embrace immoral cultures. We are a sovereign state and we deserve to be treated as such, aid or no aid”, said Dr. Hetherwick M. Ntaba, the chief political advisor to the president of Malawi.

The threat of withholding foreign aid has many implications that ultimately affect the basic human rights of Malawians such as the right to access food and water.

Last month, Germany announced it would withhold half of the $33 million in foreign aid promised to Malawi because of the criminalization of homosexuality and the restriction of press freedom. Press reports indicate that The Global Fund recently rejected Malawi's application for $560 million due to its laws regarding sodomy.

Malawi, a landlocked nation in southeast Africa, is among the world’s least developed nations. Only seven percent of Malawians have regular access to electricity, and the lack of reliable power is a critical constraint to economic growth. Because of the impoverished conditions in this nation, the need for aid money is vitally important.

The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Government of Malawi “worked in close partnership to develop a Compact investment that will reform the power sector, while investing in much-needed energy infrastructure improvements. MCC’s investment is expected to generate $2.4 billion in income for more than 5 million Malawians” said a recent authority writing in an MCC brief this year.

After engaging in a high-level dialogue with the government of Malawi, the MCC decided to withhold aid due to recent penal code amendments that explicitly criminalized homosexual acts as well as concerns related to press freedoms.

“Criminally punishing lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender individuals under laws prompted MCC to initiate the investigation required for suspension or termination of the Compact” said an MCC official in their spring brief.

Although the government of Malawi clarified and publically affirmed the constitutional protections of freedom of the press, MCC made it clear to the Government of Malawi that “laws criminalizing homosexual conduct are inconsistent with human rights obligations and MCC’s indicators.”

No international human rights treaty mentions sexual orientation or covers sexual behavior. More than 60 countries around the world have laws that penalize homosexual acts, and nearly every country has laws that criminalize various sexual behaviors, including pedophilia and incest.

I can’t wait to see the Obama administration try that with some of his Islamic Republic friends.

so we withhold aid from countries that outlaw sodomy,
or refuse to hold “rainbow” parades.

...yet we give billions to countries that burn churches and kill christians.

A friend whose company sells police equipment said a contract for purchase from a California community said that, “regardless of where the supplier is located, to be compliant with this contract the company must comply with the same sex benefits clause (in another section.)” In other words to sell their products in California the company had to offer same sex benefits like those in California.

My buddy’s company didn’t make the sale, but the deal breaker was their estimate they wouldn’t get paid for their products.

Malawi’s error was in codifying that law. In fact, they should have gone to the opposite extreme and *written down* that “sodomy is fine and dandy here”. Then they could have continued to do what they did, or even done it *more*, and the “international homosexual puritans” would have nothing to say about it.

It’s called “hypocrisy”, and it is how the world works. When forced to do something objectionable, you agree to do it, but don’t.

Malawians, to their credit, wanted to be open and honest about their laws. But the rest of the world *hates* openness and honesty. Does anyone seriously believe that North Korea follows its own constitution? Heck, even its *name* is a lie.

The “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea”, is not democratic, nor is it controlled by its people, nor is it a Republic. If it were open and honest, its title would be “The Stalinist Totalitarian Hereditary Military Dictatorship of North Korea.”

So yes, Malawi should play the game and pretend to be officially all sweetness and light to homosexuals, even if it throws them into burning pits full of metal spikes.

So the MCC is in violation of its own charter with this recent bit of blasphemy. I notice they are not excluding help from any Islamic states, all of which have death sentences for buggery. The ruling is anti Christian and not supportive of any know human rights.

Yes....the elites running this asylum from Brussels to here, want little boys to be legal when they tour all nations. This is the push for sexual immorality which is the slippery slope to NAMBLA’s goal, which is the homosexual radicals goal....man/boy love. The Greek Ideal is the youth as sex objects. Always is their goal...read any of their sick “fantasy” literature...they spell it out.

Hays was a pederast and founder of the homosexual movement and a communist. He was sodomized as a boy, loved it, and intended to force his worldview on all. The homosexual movement is for the children—the boys. It is all about child abuse and to use all people as sexual commodities which homosexual sex always reduces human beings to.....it is lust, never “love” nothing else and it is never the “old” they desire. It is the youth as in Ancient Greece and Rome, Ancient Japan, Afghanistan—all homosexual societies—it is the boy—the age when they were abused and “seduced” themselves.

Sounds like reverse discrimination to me.

Whatever happened to (in my best liberal voice), “Tolerance?”

We show tolerance to the Moslem countries. Why not to Malawi?

This should go over really well in Iran, Saudi Arabia and other dung holes in the middle east. Let’s not forget Pakistan and Abu Dabi - oh well.

This is the push for sexual immorality which is the slippery slope to NAMBLA’s goal,
///
agreed. same for gay marriage, abortion, promoting sex in schools, and anything that is anti-family and anti-Christian.

(however, i have lived long enough, to see major revisions in history. the “orientalists” revising Islam in history as a “golden age” is the best example.
...i think the same is done for Greek and Japanese history.
certainly Rome at times was completely decadent. but i think that the progressives and marxists who control Universities, textbooks, etc., have taken the rare exceptions, and shown it as mainstream. this fits their tactics on many subjects. (like the false science of global warming. the greatest hoax in human history).

taking pictures of soldiers hugging each other, etc., and spinning them. does anyone thing such photos of our troops couldn’t be used that way? yet we know that gays are very very rare in our military, in spite of pro-homosexual propaganda.

another example is economics.
history has time and again proved Hayek, Milton Friedman, and others, correct about taxes, money supply, free market, and much more.
yet in Universities, the “flat earth” theories of Keynes, are still taught as “gospel”.

the progressives and marxists (and muslims!) are masters of propaganda. Gramsci showed them the way, and they followed.
