Bathing blonde sculpture in central Hamburg

A giant head with made-up lips and eyes floats above the Inner Alster Lake in central Hamburg. Together with the naked knees sticking out of the water, it belongs to “The Blonde,” or “The Mermaid,” a gigantic sculpture that weights about two metric tons, and is four meters high and 30 meters long (approx. 13ft by 98ft).

I always appreciate that pic because I dated a girl in the early eighties who was a clone of the blond nearest the camera. her name was Kirsi and she was from Kajaani, Finland. Things didn’t work out primarily because she was a huge boozer and would rather get shit-faced than do anything else....meanwhile I had other ideas that were hard to realize with a drunken, mouth-gaped, snoring, farting Finn.

No kidding! I dated her twin sister that had none of those bad habbits. I forget her name but she studied massage therapy, played classical music, and was a fine chef and a wine expert.
