Tea Partiers refuse to end tax breaks for the wealthy? Let 'em all eat dog food
NY Daily News ^ | August 4th 2011 | Michael Daly

Posted on 08/04/2011 12:33:25 PM PDT by lowbridge

Nobody could be more servile to the interests of the wealthy than the Tea Party Republicans who insist they are championing everyday Americans.

Vice President Biden was wrong to call them terrorists. They are servants, toadies of the most reckless and grasping of the rich.

Even the socially responsible rich think the Tea Party stance is nuts. Mayor Bloomberg has noted that there was simply "no way" to bring the deficit into line without raising revenue.

In their blind resistance to simple reality, the nuttier Republicans caused such a mess in Washington that investors the world over felt added cause to doubt the soundness of the American economy. The eventual result could hurt even the rich.

Meanwhile, the Tea Partiers continue pushing for cuts in programs benefiting the less fortunate while refusing to end tax breaks for the wealthy. If the likes of the Tea Party had held sway during Marie Antoinette's time, there would have been no French Revolution or guillotine.

Not an artilce, but a series of insults against the Tea Party, using every cliche used about them and trying to fix the blame for the economy on them.

I don`t believe he`s talked to a single `responsible rich` person, he just lied and made that up.

The Libs needs to ask themselves: What have the poor done for me lately?

Ooh, ooh, I know this one. *HR puts lib hat on* They allow me to feel morally superior and good about myself, like I'm being charitable, without my actually having to get off the couch and go help somebody directly.

*HR takes lib hat off* Now I'm going to need a shower... I work with a LOT of libs. One of our organization goals last year was to contribute 300 volunteer hours to charity. They were all SO proud of themselves for hitting 330 hours. For an organization that has over 100 employees, in a year. Oh, and over 30 of those hours were mine, and I didn't report all the volunteering I did, just the more PC activities.

Tax the rich? Good luck with that.

Folks should pass the above link to any friends/family in favor of class warfare.

Taxes serve two essential functions in a functioning society. The first is to fund the government. The second is to make the cost of government obvious to every citizen, no matter how poor. We do not do anyone a real service when we exempt 43% of the population from paying taxes, even people who are indigent.

When we put money in the hands of then needy so they can buy their daily bread, we really must make sure they understand that it came out of the pocket of someone who worked and was taxed. When the poor only think their “benefit” came from “Obama’s stash”, they think that money grows on trees.

Bringing down the Tea party and Republicans (real ones, not RINOS) is the only point of this article. A lot of this would have ceased if the RINOS would have held firm with the Tea Party.

As it is, the Tea Party and Conservatives will be blamed for what is going to happen anyway, because it is a PLANNED collapse.

In their blind resistance to simple reality, the nuttier Republicans caused such a mess in Washington that investors the world over felt added cause to doubt the soundness of the American economy.

“Let ‘em all eat dog food”

THAT HAS BEEN PROCESSED BY THE LARGE INTESTINE... IT IS NICE AND SAVES HEATING THE RAW PRODUCT UP!

Taxing the rich is working pretty well in NY state isn’t it? They were glad to see Rush leave (and take his income with him to no tax Florida).
The owner of PayChex did the same thing for the same reason:

Hey Mikey, ESAD! I am no rich guy by way and far, but if they can come and get the rich guy, they can come and try to get what little i have. These parasites like Mikey never get it cuz they obviously have some scam worked out where they don’t pay crap. I vote he should be made to try and collect it instead of sending the jack booted thugs, but these bloodsuckers never do their own dirty work and its never enough.

The ungrammatical Daily News is actually citing Bloomberg, who wrecked the traffic flow through Times Square and is now installing a 1 1/2 million dollar system that enables him to watch every traffic light in the city? He made the problem and now he’s taxing us to “fix” it?

Take the bus sometime going south through Times Square, Mr. Mayor, and bring a nice book to read, along with your lunch.

Writers and newspapers like this more and more convince me how radically polarized and alien this country has become. CW2 is no longer inconceivable. I’m very scared, but I’ll face it head-on.

They never heard of the Laffer Curve. Odamno already stated he doesn’t care if higher taxes reduce revenue—he does it for abstract principles of “fairness.” It’s on video.

10% pay most of the taxes, already.

50% pay none at all.

Government pensions are equivalent, in many cases, to million dollar investment account returns, including healthcare with no deductable

The Bureaucrats and Government employees fancy themselves as royalty, and we private sector fools should pay for their lifestyles.

There is no money, the retired $80K per year toll taker has it.

Liberalism ends up badly, we are just seeing what will happen here when you see Greece, Spain, the UK and soon, Italy. Syria and Egypt are an ideological mess, pressed on by Hussein’s goal of a Global Caliphate...but unions will end up causing Civil War, trust me on this one.

...last time I checked, the tax code, albeit, the Progressive Tax Code the IRS enforces under penalty of jail, fine, or both....has the highest income brackets paying the highest tax rates...and EITC giving all of the lower brackets all or nearly all of their tax money back to them...

Coupled by the fact, only 50% of adults pay income taxes.

The Lefty lie, always on cue.

The distinct difference in Capitalism vs. Socialism is merely the fact that there is the possibility of upward mobility under Capitalism, under Socialism, the only people who enjoy an upper class lifestyle are wealthy families and Government bureaucrats, the entrepreneur is punished.

The people who create jobs and government receipts are demonized by the same teat suckers who create no wealth (see unionized teachers).

In the final analysis, it’s about unchecked control of people and their futures, as the “Common Good” is determined not by achievement and hard work, but by a set of Illuminated Ones/Ruling Class people who “know better” and will “nudge” us into Government servitude.
