But with the next comment about it taking time "because we've got this big, messy, tough democracy" I could not help but think of his comments last week, which I dismissed as humorous rhetoric, about wanting to just do things himself, without bothering with the democracy. And then, combined with the comment that "we're not even halfway there yet", the hair on the back of my neck just stood up straight. He's definitely broadcasting his intentions.
One of my fears is that he is going to seek revenge if it becomes clear that he has no chance at the Presidency in 2012. We need to watch him very carefully.

What plan does Obama have to restore the economy? He jsut says this stuff, he has no plausible plan to achieve anything.
There is just political rhetoric about what’s Bush’s fault, cars in ditches, etc.
He’s being modest. The destruction will be completed well before 2016.
Show me what Bush did to tank the economy and what Obama has done to “fix” it. Bush tried to regulate Fannie and Freddie, and to reform social security.
I don’t think Barney Frank should be able to show his face in public, because he did as much as anyone to cost this country TRILLIONS but the media is protecting him from reality.
Or maybe he ought to take Truman's advice and get out of the kitchen if he can't take the heat.
Given who this guys is I would expect him to seek revenge either way.
If he is defeated, he will take the rest of his time to scorch the rest of the earth.
If he wins a second term he will exact revenge on the taxpayers.
This man is on a mission to turn us into a post colonial african dictatorship. With him as the ruler.
And his party and his media are willing accomplices.
0bama’s political rise is characterized by “taking out” his opponents before the election, so that he essentially ran unopposed.
He will lose any two way race in 2012.
He doesn’t intend to run in a two-way race.
He intends to have some conservative third party candidate siphon off 10% of the vote and win in a “Clinton” plurality victory.

What do you mean “going to”? That is his entire modus operandi.
It is info that people, especially FReepers, need to see. Some still think that Obama is simply inept. He is not.
Obama is the culmination of “setting up the pieces” for over a generation.
