The owner of a Venice health food market and two other people were arrested on charges related to the allegedly unlawful production and sale of unpasteurized dairy products, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said.
The arrests of James Cecil Stewart, Sharon Ann Palmer and Eugenie Bloch on Wednesday marked the latest effort in a government crackdown on the sale of so-called raw dairy products.

The SWAT attack and destruction was video’d. It is only a matter of time until some innocent is accidentally shot by some nervous moron.
If they purposely start by shooting a farmer’s dogs, as they are wont to do, there may be another Waco type situation.
It’s only a matter of when.
One can argue back and forth about Unprocessed Milk vs Pasteurized Milk. There was no "danger" from this milk. The danger to .gov was the selling of a product without the "proper papers" and appropriate "fees". Palmer has been through this before and periodically must be "slapped down" to keep those who want the product "scared". For those of you interested in the "gaming" going on right now in reference to this issue, I suggest heading over to The Complete Patient and see what is happening in the community. http://www.thecompletepatient.com/
So, people should not have the freedom to purchase raw milk products?
Do you understand the implications of giving the government a monopoly on the food supply?
"Food security" to the government is all about controlling the food supply so they can use it as a weapon.
And you think that's a good idea?
Thank you, Louis Pasteur.
This is one of the reasons I have my own cows, Dexters (miniatures) and get all the raw milk I want. That reminds me, 2 are due to calve soon, and will be going back on the milk line.
Big government doesn’t just cost more in taxes.
What percent of milk that comes from these type of operations is dangerous? Homogenized milk is far more of a health problem.
Oh sure. I guess you’re just another sales tax evader. It’s your duty to buy everything in order to prop up the economy.
The cheese police strike again!

Within 100 yards of every direction except straight up of the raid, there were illegal aliens, most of which get free taxpayer provided services. These criminals were ignored while the big guns went after fresh cow’s milk.
The Cuisine Police, they live inside of my head...
Cause you sure don’t get sick from transfats, cigarettes, fake sugar, or alcohol. Or even ground turkey. Do you want everything that might make you sick banned?

And how many times have we seen ground beef (hamburger) recalled?
How many people have died from raw milk?
While homogenized/pasteurized milk with growth hormones, antibiotics and pus - do the research - is sold as safe.
Truth is, the gov't will never let up on trying to shut down healthy foods that aren't produced by the big boys. Can't have a money drain, you know...
Start with the 10th Amendment.
We need to join in the fun ourselves.
“I suggest everyone go google Milk Borne Diseases.”
And so long as each of has the freedom to do that search and to make up our own minds about milk, we don’t need Nanny to make up our minds for us.
Oh, good grief. That's just silly.
