'Civility': The Denouement
The Wall Street Journal/Best of the Web ^ | 8/3/2011 | James Taranto

Did Vice President Biden liken Tea Party Republicans to terrorists in a meeting with House Democrats? Eyewitnesses say yes, but he denies it, Politico reports:
*snip*
Whether Biden said it or not, all parties seem to agree that Doyle and perhaps other House Democrats did. And plenty of prominent elite liberals have sounded the theme. It's become commonplace on the opinion pages of the New York Times, where Joe Nocera rants:
*snip*
Last Wednesday Thomas Friedman described the Tea Party as the GOP's "Hezbollah faction." The same day Maureen Dowd approvingly quoted "some Democrats" as describing the Tea Party as "the Republican 'Taliban wing.' " (In fairness we should note that the Times's Roger Cohen registered a partial dissent: "Hatred of Muslims . . . is a growing political industry. It's odious, dangerous and racist.")

And it's not just the Times. NewsBusters.org quotes liberal Bloomberg columnist Margaret Carlson: "There's a nihilist caucus which is, 'Listen, we want to burn the place down.' I mean, they're not, they've strapped explosives to the Capitol and they think they are immune from it." NewsBusters also notes a cartoon from David Fitzsimmons of the (Tucson) Arizona Daily Star depicting President Obama ordering Navy SEALs to stage a bin Laden-style raid on the House side of the Capitol.

Politico itself got into the act, running two op-eds last week on the theme: "The Tea Party Taliban" by Martin Frost (a Democratic ex-congressman) and "The Tea Party's Terrorist Tactics" by William Yeomans, former chief counsel to Sen. Ted Kennedy. Mary Jo Kopechne's former chief counsel could not be reached for comment.

If one side is allowed to scream, and lie, and call names,
And the other side tries to be quiet, and polite, and respectful ...
You cannot have a conversation.

If one side is allowed to scream, and lie, and call names,
And the other side does exactly the same thing ...
You cannot have a conversation.

I say that no conversation is possible, and the political process is essentially dead in this country.
There will be war.

The left arguments have revolved around raging and name calling for six decades or more. They are always without substance. Nothing new here. Coulter 'outs' them in her book "Demonic".

With the rise of the Tea Party to resist them politically,
look for them to take it to the next step - using force, or the threat of force.

Currently, during their political phase of the takeover, their threats have been “don’t resist us, or we’ll call you ‘racist’ or ‘uncivil’”.
Now that we’ve told them to stuff it, they will up their threats to “don’t resist us, or we’ll use the power of the state to punish you”.

When that threat gets hollow, they will resort to actual force. We’ve already seen some of this with the SEIU.

Yep. Look at their Wisconsin tactics as a hint of what they intend on doing. If they lose an election, it's obstruct, threaten, whine petulantly, and bring out the union thugs or the students to trash things.

Getting rid of these people is not going to be easy, they think they are entitled to their rage and bullying tactics.

They are entitled to the consequences of pushing people to the point of incivility. This is what this article/thread is about.

The next step is arrests and imprisonment. If dissenters are perceived as terrorists, it makes it much easier to arrest and throw them in prison on the grounds that they are a threat to the country.

The left loves two things about this, they can be uncivil and violent while they point fingers at us as uncivil and violent, and a lot of their stupid followers will believe them. They also love it when we cower from the threat of their incivility; conservatives not doing something for the fear of being called bigoted, racist, heartless etc, is something they relish.

Great piece. Thanks for posting it. My favorite part:

‎"Terrorist," "racist," "uncivil," "insane," the list goes on--in this context, these words have no real meaning. They are mere epithets. The Obama presidency has reduced the liberal left to an apoplectic rage. His Ivy League credentials, superior attitude, pseudointellectual mien and facile adherence to lefty ideology make him the perfect personification of the liberal elite. Thus far at least, he has been an utter failure both at winning public support and at managing the affairs of the nation.

Civility': The Denouement

It seems as if the elitists, statists and collectivists are coming un-tied.

More modern works may have no dénouement,
because of a quick or surprise ending such as the
arrival of adults in Lord of the Flies.
On the other hand an example of a modern work
with a particularly elaborate dénouement is Tolkien's
Lord of The Rings.
So it is the Hobbits, after all

It isa encouraging to see more and more and more “People” are seeing through what dems/ Libs/ Media/0dumbo are doing.
It is not working except among the far left and of course the media. they are feeding off each other and seem determined to out do each other with childish name calling of the Tea Party and all Gopers.

The more the media sues this approacj the more it gets to most people.
It is fascinating to watch

and I am hopeful for my country than at any time since 0dumbo became the front runner

Biden is a loud-mouthed idiot whose brain(?) and mouth function independent of each other. Now comes word that, despite tax-payer funded Secret Service protection, Biden rips us off by charging rent on the cottage.

BOMBSHELL: HE SHOWS NO INCOME FROM RENTAL ON HIS 2010 TAX RETURN. http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/vp-biden-2010-complete-return.pdf

It appears we have a mini-Al Capone as a VP. Hello, IRS? We have a crook for you.

This just clarifies that we are in a civil war. because if we are terrorists, then the next stage is to round us up.

Expecting the left to behave in a mature and civil manner is like asking the proverbial leopard to change its spots. When they finally catch on that name calling doesn’t work anymore, the gloves will come off and things will get bloody.

And, Mayor Daley has already told them to “Shoot to kill”

We’re on the same, and correct, page there partner...

They further their cause of communism by whatever means they can. Until recently, “democracy” within our political system has worked well for them. They are meeting resistance and defeat in that area now, and to continue advancing communism, they are going to have to change their “vehicle”.

Look for violence and chaos, caused by the left, in order to make the people clamor for more government to protect them.
