On debt deal, Daley tells Blitzer: "We are optimistic"
CNN's Wolf Blitzer sat down in an exclusive interview with White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley to discuss the current debt negotiations.....

Boehner knew what obama's "deal" was and yet, continued to compromise with himself? Apparently to reach an endpoint previously agreed upon? This effort, CCB was tabled in the Senate, never voted on. And Senate repubs went along with it. Because McConnell played golf that day too, dontcha know. Stinks to high heaven.
Boehner had to throw a bone to new conservatives with BBA. A "must pass" for BBA was changed to "Senate will vote on/consider". Someone should have filibustered this. There was no default possible and NOT one now. But our debt rating will be downgraded and the hedge funds will do well. Hurry, Hurry just like TARP. Short selling the United States people and shorting them in so many other ways. Despicable.

If I were you I wouldn’t believe what Daley or any Chicago politician has to say.
same evil party and stupid party.
That asshat Daley made the rounds on the weekly Sunday political shows not this past Sunday, but the Sunday BEFORE that even.
It’s amazing how easily we get played.
This deal might fool the dumber 95% of people on this planet, but the top 5% of the population that control the vast wealth of the US and world financial system know the collapse is now ordained, and inescapable.
The only solution now is the complete collapse of the US economy, or a military junta. There is no escaping the collapse, no escaping the collapse in purchasing power, no escaping a deflationary interlude then hyperinflationary crash and burn into the Sun,
A HappyMeal will cost $250 and a loaf of bread $90, and no one will have the calories, will or fortitude to care about the treason committed over the last 72 hours.
And the bill is the usual compromise between the two parties: something both evil and stupid.
Used the word clue. Something happened at the golf outing. The smoothness by which CCB was tabled without a fight,is immediately suspect. And, if BBA was more strongly fought for— this “deal” would be much more palatable. They kicked the can down the road. We need to document these liars, and take it to the political bank, today.
My main point is that given this potential knowledge (if true, and Daley is pure street scum from JP Morgan and Bush/Gore FL attempted “fix”, so I know who he is) it seems like all along Boehner and McConnell were dancing. The tune included the threats to SS payments and all the rest from the demo playbook. We were played, pure and simple.
Dems are being told to appoint those that will hold firm on entitlements.
So what will happens is
6 dems who will demand a tax hike
and either a RINO caves
or the trigger is enacted and Granny gets it.
Same threat they had this time.
The good news is that this will come out and people will start to understand in time for Boehner to get thrown out.
What more could we possibly want?
The whole GOP approach - including that of the grandstanding “Tea Party” newbies - was a joke. It revealed conservatives to be ignorant, fractured and completely uncoordinated. We were too busy shooting at each other to notice the real enemy.
The GOP did indeed blow it weeks ago, mostly when they backed off of Ryan’s very good plan.
People are blaming Boehner, btw, but I think McConnell was acting behind the scenes and is much more to blame.
Kasich was playing that day...Kasich is not one of the bad guys.
Paul Ryan’s plan was worse than the current plan, sadly.
Ryan didn’t remove any funding for Defense, ever.
There was a single Republican plan presented that wasn’t biased towards the special interests of the plan sponsors’ largest contributors.
There is no representation of the American taxpayers in DC.
Dollars buy legislation,
voters are nothing more than bystanders and wayward onlookers in this orgy of hyper-inflationary collapse.
Reference from link:
BLITZER: So what you're saying is the president did present a plan to the speaker, John Boehner.
DALEY: Yes.
BLITZER: But - but he didn't make it public.
DALEY: No, because there's... both the speaker and - and the president had agreed and - that these sort of negotiations do not happen in public. There's not a plan out there in the public realm, whether it's the fiscal commission, whether it's the Gang of Six, whether it's Congressman Ryan's plan - Congressman Ryan's plan lost in the Senate overwhelmingly.
So there's no plan that's out there, by any of these people who are saying this, that has any sort of chance of passing both houses and getting signed by the president.
(Note : He is saying that if they didnt keep it secret it would get killed by either or both sides like all the others)
I have no doubt that boner had the fix in from day one,.
You left out some things.
7 Repubs could demand a cut. If a Dem doesn't cave, yes he causes granny to "get it" as you put it. I don't think the Dems are going to move too quickly to cause granny to get it.
The RATS may be evil, BUT THEY ARE NOT STUPID considering that they are intentionally destroying the country in order to remake it into their communist image.
Ask yourself which party is more successful in reaching their goal — the PUBS or the RATS?
It is the PUBS that are spineless and stupid and afraid to get down in the dirt to fight the RATS.
later read
Will Never happen. They had the chance to do it this time around by standing strong on CCB. They caved
The threat of Granny gets always has them cowering in the corner.
” I have no doubt that boner had the fix in from day one,.”
100% certain that he did.
