The Tea Party movement takes its name from the Boston Tea Party of 1773, when American patriots dumped British tea into Boston Harbor to protest British imperial power. But while New England was the center of resistance to the British empire, there are few New Englanders to be found in today's Tea Party movement. It should be called the Fort Sumter movement, after the Southern attack on the federal garrison in Fort Sumter in South Carolina on April 12-13, 1861, that began the Civil War. Today's Tea Party movement is merely the latest of a series of attacks on American democracy by the white Southern minority, which for more than two centuries has not hesitated to paralyze, sabotage or, in the case of the Civil War, destroy American democracy in order to get their way.
The mainstream media have completely missed the story, by portraying the Tea Party movement in ideological rather than regional terms. Whether by accident or design, the public faces of the Tea Party in the House are Midwesterners -- Minnesota's Michele Bachmann and Joe Walsh of Illinois. But while there may be Tea Party sympathizers throughout the country, in the House of Representatives the Tea Party faction that has used the debt ceiling issue to plunge the nation into crisis is overwhelmingly Southern in its origins...

What this leftwing moron fails to write about besides the fact that the Confederates were ruled by the democrat party is that it has been the progressive movement that has waged war against our Republic continually since their political party lost the Civil War and failed to destroy the United States.
It was the progressive movement that revived the terrorist wing of the democrat party, the KKK, and fought tooth and nail against liberty with filibusters and any means possible. It was the progressive movement that denounced the Founders. It was the progressive movement that spawned terrorism during the sixties counter culture revolution. It is the progressive movement that spawns eco-terrorists.
It is the progressive movement that still today retains policies and tactics created by the KKK. Abortion originated with the progressive Margaret Sanger as a means to limit the reproduction of undesirables (blacks) and control population. She was a regular speaker before the KKK. Separation of Church and State began with democrats boycotting religious ceremonies at the Capital because republicans had invited black Americans and was later enshrined into law by the progressive KKK lawyer Hugo Black.
The democrat party and progressive movement have always been at war with the government of the United States. It is their entire history as a political party and as a ideological movment.
...in the case of the Civil War, destroy American democracy..
I think he means The War of Northern Aggression.
or maybe the war for Southern Independence
These idiots are screaming, but no one is listening.
America is OVER racism and the “race-card” is being rejected by the majority of Americans.
Libs and race-hustlers know this which is why you see them acting up......
I’ll start giving a damn about racism when black folk do...
And yet while screaming invectives at us they still cant deny were devastatingly in debt, on verge of a credit downgrade that should have come long ago and risking economic collapse. They may feel better by throwing tantrums but I am well past the stage of caring. Let them scream in the middle of the store aisle. Im not embarrassed, shamed or willing to give in to red faced children that dont like hearing the word No.
Bump for Truth. Thank you.
or as Granny Clampett called it, The War Twixt the North and the Americans.
Yeah, Scott Brown, I was going to mention him.
Brown has been a huge disappointment as a senator, shifting as he did to full-bore RINO mode almost as soon as he was sworn in, but the ONLY reason he was elected is Tea Party support.
In fact, if I am not mistaken, he represents the earliest actual Tea Party victory.
Doesn’t matter. The article is pure dem-o-rat projection.
That's how I learned it.
Here’s what’s true as a matter of historical fact: The Democrats started the KKK, and the NAACP was started by white Republicans.
I’m a Tea Partier, Southern, white and have no reason to be ashamed of or apologize for any of the three.
Not true.
Maybe not the same percentage as elsewhere, but there is a sizable number of Tea Party people EVERYWHERE.
Im a Tea Partier, from Ohio, white and have no reason to be ashamed of or apologize for any of the three.
None of us have anything to be ashamed of, we are on the right side of this rising argument.
