Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Mondays House vote to lift the debt ceiling was a victory for the tea party, proving that conservative activists had shifted the conversation in Washington.
We shall take this victory and make sure our politicians in office today are learning from this victory, Ms. Palin said Monday night on Fox News, where she is a paid contributor. Its not a 100% pure genuine victory. We just handed the most liberal president, I believe, in U.S. history a $2.4 billion debt increase.

You have already earned your fame and reputation as an anti-Palin troll, you can’t BS your way out of that, especially on a thread that you just posted to bash Palin with a false attack.

Whats with the hatred of SARAH PALIN at Free Republic? I figured itd be best to ask you directly as you seem to be the head hater.

Does mean some of her supporters here are going to being saying the same thing?
Palin isn't delusional and she wasn't referring to the "deal," or the content of the bill. Please, people. Watch the video before you say stupid things....
Maybe they’ll say that she didn’t say what she said.
When JR himself labels you as the head Palin hater at freerepublic, I think that you have been accurately labeled.
You should watch the interview. Greta was gushing about victory, and it was Palin that was pulling her back.
This IS a victory - but only compared to the alternative - the deal that would have been rubber-stamped if the Tea Party hadn't existed. Otherwise it smells like defeat.
>> Well Sarah Palin says its a victory so all debate is now closed. <<
..Isn’t that the argument used whenever Perry’s conservative credentials are questioned? “ <<<
I think no one appreciates the couple of huge bloopers made by Rick Perry over the course of ten years of governance over Texas, where he wondered off the reservation for ruthlessly fiscal reasons and for falling for the line of a misguided aide hooked in with a pharma company. However, over those ten years he has made a far better conservative than many who claim the moniker and he’s done it with far fewer errors over all. He, as a former democrat, has transformed Texas to all conservative governance weilding power that has stuck, and which makes Texas Exhibit A for why he would make a hell of a fine president. No one else even begins to offer up that degree of accomplishment. If he runs well he can curb Romney and will be poised to curb Obama. It’s seems to be coming down to either Perry or Romney early. Sarah is simply not going to run.
AGAIN, Molly Whoever was NOT mentioned in the article OR in this thread. Except by you. And you provided no link.
I like Sarah but I am certainly NOT obsessed with her and I don’t know everything written about her. And don’t want to.
“If Bachmann ever gains any traction or looks like a threat to win the nomination, you can expect the same treatment from them for her.”
Dang!
I was betting that your secret identity was really D.B. Cooper.
Turns out you are Rip Van Winkle.
I’m not impressed.
I don’t think conservatives care if you are impressed or not.
I listened to Rush today, I do not think he agrees, never heard him so down in the dump.
I think the most “direct link” would be the video in question. With all due respect to the WSJ, I don’t need someone to tell me what was said if I can see/hear it myself. Granted, the video link is in the WSJ blog post, but still, the video itself is unquestionably the most “direct link”.

After Gov. Palin and Greta are through talking about The latest bilge to come from Biden’s mouth, the conversation in question begins, at approximately 3:16.
From the outset, we can see from Greta’s initial question, and the context thereof, that the term “victory” here is not being applied to the bill itself, but to the tone and type of conversation that surrounded the bill (spending cuts). Indeed, one can see/hear Palin herself near the end of the video clip criticizing the actual bill, much less calling it a “victory”.
As anyone who knows my posts on FR knows, I’m no Palin cult follower, as some around here are. But make no mistake, this “controversy” is clearly manufactured.
Buddha get off Molly. I stated that a Politico reporter is more honest and accurate than an FR pds troll.
It isn’t necessary that you read her article, I already provided the relevant content. Ergo no link.
Here’s the fact you keep avoiding: Sarah never said what the troll who started this thread reported she did.
If you think Bachmann has received the PDS treatment here yet, well than man, I just feel sorry for ya.
Much thanks FRiend
“Well Sarah Palin says its a victory so all debate is now closed.”
What a foolish comment.
I don’t know about the actual word “victory” but you can’t deny that without the tea party it would have been simply a roll over and probably would have been shoved down our throats in a tenth of the time it took to do so. So the tea party, like in November 2010, had a major impact. If not, the VP and many others wouldn’t have been using words like “terrorists”. Maybe Sarah was trying to be positive. Just more proof that everything she says is parsed because she is the major player on our side. For example, where the hell was finger in the wind Romney the whole time?
