They can only cry wolf for so long. Either their warnings of “..we ONLY have 5 years!...” expire, with NO indication of the impending doom, or folks just get tired and bored with it.
They’ll chill for a while and come back with a newly re-packaged message of global destruction.
Because it is a religion and has nothing to do with science, accurate or otherwise. It does not matter how many scientific studies come out contradicting the Church of Global Warming -- they will not be believed. It is a pagan religion and people will still continue to cling to it.
People that believed them are called "sheep".

Global warming in Mann Made. It’s a fraud, a con job and insidiously evil. It was never about the climate. It was about social and economic control of free people. The climate is not static. It gets warmer and colder all on it’s own. However, if the control freaks of the world can convince that a natural warming period is man-made, many people will most willingly give up social and economic freedom to save the planet. They a often too naive to realize that this climate cycle has happened before and will happen again.
The wheels are falling off the GW wagon and when it does, people need to be jailed, professional licenses revoked, employment terminated and public denouncement of their actions. They need to be purged from every position of power and influence. Then they need to get an old fashioned shunning for the rest of their lives.
The next great manufactured catastrophe should be the shifting of the North and South poles. It’s only been going on for millions of years but somehow politically and financially it will be all our own fault.
I’m going to invest in GPS units.
