Scott Brown may support Reid plan Republican Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts told a radio station Friday that he may vote for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's plan to raise the debt ceiling. "Sen. Brown tells WBUR parties need to work across the aisle to resolve debt-ceiling impasse; he'd vote for Reid's plan," the Boston public radio station posted on its Twitter account. The moderate Republican, who is up for re-election next year, is in the minority of his party, which overwhelmingly opposes the measure. But increasingly, senators from both parties are saying that there is ample room for compromise between Reid's measure and the one proposed by House Speaker John Boehner. A Brown spokesman could not be reached for comment immediately. Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe said she couldn't vote to proceed to the Reid plan, but she said "that's not meant to say there aren't issues between the Reid and Boehner plan that couldn't be worked out." Even West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat up for reelection next year, said he could support a revised Reid plan depending on how it looks at the end of the day. He announced his opposition to the current draft in a floor speech Thursday afternoon.
He is. He has dissappointed me at everyturn. And please dont give me the “he is a Massachusetts Rep...” blah blah blah
Scotty is one of Stinky Harry’s boys now.
A RINO is a RINO is a RINO.
Oh wait....
Of course he will. He’s has a smell about him now.
Now I know why he won. He’s somebody’s b*otch
If the Boehner plan passes, he might not.
Surprised? No. Disgusted? Most definitely!
Has a primary opponent appeared yet to take on this turncoat?
Is it me, or are these politicians just not getting it?? We (the US government) has a SPENDING problem. When I call my representatives I feel like I am trying to make Amy Winehouse to go to rehab.
After winning the election, when he decided to advertise the “availability” of his daughters, I knew he was not our kind of folks.
I’m not aware of one.
Nah they’re all buying in to the doom and gloom from the corporatists on Wall Street. Most of those firms are in the pocket of the Democrats anyway.
Only marginally better that Edward Brooke was...
I guess that headline and its article would be NEWS to SOME people, but the thought that Sen. Scott Brown would have his nose up Harry Reid’s backside is such a foregone conclusion with me that I am actually surprised anyone would consider it newsworthy! To me, that’s right up there with; WATER IS WET!.....or.....CRAP STINKS!
No surprise from this RINO....
Is there any way we can vote Massachusetts OUT of the union?
