HOLD THE LINE!!

They'll have to come back to you. DEMAND a REAL CUT in spending!! Do not under any circumstance approve a debt ceiling increase!! Instead, insist on real spending cuts NOW!! The country is bankrupt. Do not allow them to take us deeper into debt! It's time for the HOUSE to do its job of controlling the spending!

The federal government is bankrupt due to Obama's reckless spending. Cut up his credit cards and force him to quit spending! It's time to put Obama and company into receivership! Make them come to the House to authorize current payments on the debts as they come due so that we don't default. Do not authorize any spending whatsoever on discretionary items until the spending crisis is solved. Pay the obligated social security checks, the military, the interest and the required debt payments, but that's just about it until our fiscal house is in order!

Make no bones about it. We sent you to Washington for one reason and one reason only and that is to take control of our big spending, big taxing problems and get our economy going again so our our people can get back to work!! Do not let the DC ruling class sway you. Do not take your eye off the ball. Do not fail to do your job! Our nation's survival depends upon your vote!!

Tell Boehner to get HIS ass in line!! Cut the damned spending, already!!

My vote for the "spot-on" FR quote of the day. It's laughable that Obozo is now talking about cutting the deficit/debt when, in fact, he is the PRIMARY CAUSE of the problem. Anyone knowing his background/history could have figured out that his goal is to turn the U.S. into, at best, a European-like Socialist state or, at worst, a full-blown Marxist dictatorship.

Do the people voting have time to read it in the House, by the timeline?

Knowing that Reid will change any passed House bill to something that obama "might" accept, why not work on one now that is essentially the same, but tweaked a bit. They need to keep the extension of the debt ceiling low enough to force another revisit during obama's reelection. THIS is his sticking point.

Just because a vote isn't held until Aug. 1, late, doesn't mean leadership can't inform its members of its proposed language much sooner. A House vote could be extended until late to force obama/dems to make their own decision at the last minute and also use that time build their support.

I don't see another way to force obama to do anything at this point. It's high stakes poker. He could care less about this country and its future. He will either be forced to do something he doesn't like, or he and/or dems will be forced to go past their own deadline.

Whether this was the optimal way of getting were we are (Boehner's latest proposed bill), we are here. Hey, they could always hold passing THIS bill until late Aug. 1 knowing what will happen in the Senate. That might not be a bad idea at this point.
