SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -
An off-duty Transportation Security Administration agent was issued a summons for harassing a female motorist he thought was driving too slow, South Windsor police said.
Police said, on Tuesday morning the woman called 911 to report that a man was following her car too closely on Sullivan Avenue and flashing a badge at her.
Police kept the woman on her cell phone and caught up to Donald Eichler, 63, of South Windsor, who told police he was upset that the woman was driving slightly below the posted speed limit. He told police that he honked his horn and showed her his badge to get her to speed up.
...
Eichler says, he notified his bosses who told him to keep them posted.
"I just wanted her to do the speed limit. I had people crawling up my back, beeping their horns I mean what can I do? I wasn't trying to be a policeman," he said.

Eichler says, he notified his bosses who told him to keep them posted. Why do I have this feeling that, a simple "re-training" talk will be all he gets, ready to grope another day.

Someone needs to do a FOIA act to find out the number of arrests for TSA offenders, and compare their ratio to that of the general population.

Just give him an M-4 and offer him a nighttime job as a traffic cop.
After all, he's government so he has to be safe.

($1.8 tril yearly deficits = $18 tril in ten years. So now we're proposing $4 tril in cuts? Really?)

"I just wanted her to do the speed limit. I had people crawling up my back, beeping their horns I mean what can I do? I wasn't trying to be a policeman," he said. No, what you did was, far, far worse than that.

If he wasn’t trying to be a policeman why was he flashing his badge?

He's probably used to flashing the junk he carries around.

If he were just trying to pull her over for a strip search, would that have been okay?
To: Paladin2
Should have waved a stale doughnut. That’d give cause to arrest him impersonating a cop.

Somebody tailgates me,,,, I slow down! But I drive at the speed limit. My town is a speed trap.
To: matt04
Eichler seems to be unfit for discharging his duties in a reasonable manner.

...he was upset that the woman was driving slightly below the posted speed limit. Someone needs to remind him that the posted speed is an UPPER limit, not a lower one.

Police said TSA agents do not have local police powers.
This is what makes the proper charge impersonating a police officer.

OK, lady, put your hands on the car and spread ‘em. I’m from the TSA and I’m going to feel you up.
