This ain't rocket science. The country is going bankrupt because of big spending, big taxing, big government Marxists, socialists, liberals, progressives, moderates and RINOS!!
We don't need a higher credit limit or higher taxes. We need to cut the damned government! Cut the spending! Cut the stifling regulations! Cut the taxes!! Cut it NOW!! Not ten years from now, not five years from now, not two years from now, CUT IT NOW!!
Get the government out of our pockets, out of our faces, out of our business, off our backs and OUT of our lives!!
Set our people free, turn them loose and let them go back to work and produce, free of government intervention, free of government thievery and free of government harassment!!

My thought at the moment is that Obama cannot sign ANY bill that would be presented to him because his financiers and puppet masters will expose him if he does. They want the crisis now because in their estimate the timing serves them better. I would have predicted they would have held off till next year.

A balanced budget amendment wouldn’t be worth the powder to blow it to hell. We already have a balanced budget amendment! It’s the constitution! The constitution clearly spells out the limits on government. The congress ignores it. They’ll do the same to any balanced budget amendment. The TEA party already has the only solution that will work: VOTE THE CORRUPT BASTARDS OUT!!
Got a good start on it in 2010, now we must continue in 2012.

With all due respect to you post Sir, Boehner has been there for sometime, since 1991. I did not send him there. He apparently is a pretty big establishment guy, who is happy to make the appearance of standing firm, only to cut the guts out America for the best deal he can get, which probably involves his retirement perks. Personally, I would love to see him tried for treason, with many of his friends, found guilty, and hung. In my humble opinion there is no quicker way to restore integrity to our political system.

Well, we sent the “et al.” up there to give them a Republican majority in the House so that they can control the spending. Now control it, dammit! Cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut the credit limit, cut the taxes and cut the damned government already!! Or we’ll send them packing, too!!

We need to be cutting the Debt Ceiling by $500 Billion per year, every year until it is down to less than $2 Trillion.
Instead, the latest GOP plan raises it, giving Obama a $900 Billion spending spree now, and proposes cuts over 10 years, which we will NEVER see actually happen, of less than $850 Billion?!! (And then turns responsibility for the whole mess over to yet another committee?!!)
EPIC FAIL!
If they do this and we let them get away with it, then we deserve the outcome.
