Scandal: As hearings reveal the attorney general to be either a charlatan or a boob, word comes of possible FBI complicity in letting guns "walk" into Mexico, ordered by an administration pushing gun control.
If there was any doubt that Project Gunrunner and its offshoot, Operation Fast and Furious, had little to do with stopping gun-trafficking into Mexico and a lot to do with creating an atmosphere for more gun control, it ended with the revelation by Fox News that two convicted felons were allowed to buy and move more than 300 guns into Mexico, something the FBI should have caught but didn't.
Under current federal law, people with felony convictions are not permitted to buy weapons, and those with felony arrests are typically flagged while the FBI conducts a thorough background check through its National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
According to court records reviewed by Fox News, two of the 20 defendants indicted in the Fast and Furious investigation and, yes, there have been indictments have felony convictions. Jacob Wayne Chambers and Sean Christopher Stewart obtained more than 360 weapons despite criminal records that should have prevented them from buying even one gun.
When asked about the breakdown, Stephen Fischer, a spokesman for the NICS System, said the FBI had no comment. We are not surprised. Since day one, you could here crickets chirp every time the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives or the Department of Justice was asked about an operation that got two U.S. agents killed.

Gunrunner = IranContra X Watergate.
The MSM averts its eyes.
OK lemme get this straight:
The FBI is charged with running NCIS with the goal of PREVENTING guns to reach criminals.
But:
The FBI instead accepted their pay while deliberately intervening to ASSURE that the most dangerous types of weapons reached the VERY WORST CRIMINALS.
Right?
Not that the system didn’t work, no, but that the people IN CHARGE of the system MADE SURE that it did NOT work.
Right?
Most stinging and mainstream credible source to comment on this. When the IBD calls the US Attorney General a charlatan or boob, and backs it up with facts, it’s a very good day for America.
They wanted to show that the Second Amendment was past its due date and must be done away with.
The ends justify the means.
And I used to hate Ed Meese. I’d take a hundred Ed Meese’s over one Holder anyday.
Can they be prosecuted in any way shape or form for violating their sworn oath?
Ed Meese was a hundred times better then that criminal Holder
> The MSM averts its eyes.
That’s because the big story, the really REALLY *REALLY* BIG story is Rupert Murdock!!
I mean, where’s your sense of history?
Where’s your sense of geometry?
The entire article is dead on the money, especially the above.
Is it possible that certain parties are dragging out the debt ceiling drama right now in part because that keeps the public eye off of the Fast and Furious investigation, which may eventually prove to be a very serious criminal enterprise involving a number of federal agencies and key figures of the current administration? The economy and our debt are extremely important - I am not discounting that. I am just wondering whether reports about Fast and Furious are pushed off the page by media on both the Left and Right because their attention is being directed to the exciting new daily developments in the debt and budget negotiations being orchestrated for them and for their audiences.
Even worse, Mexican kids died... yes I mean in Mexico! SHAME on the Bummer.
Why not? They if they have paid their debt they should be able to vote and buy guns, right!
/sarcasm
Yes, not only possible, but very likely the case.

Recent reports indicate the “odoure” permeates thru multiple levels of the Obama Administration. In consequence a lot of “feddies” appear to be getting “chilly in the arches”, talking to save their own bacon. Now, it appears we have the FBI running interference for a pair of “prohibited felons” enabling them to conduct multiple illegal purchases of weapons eventually ending up in the hands of criminal elements !
The multiple malfeasances of career and appointed officials concerning “OFF” is rapidly making Ollie North’s “loose canon” treatment of the “Iran-Contra” debacle seem like a kintergarten spat. >PS
Don't tar and feather me if I heard Da Judge incorrectly.
At any rate, I'm not going to miss it the program. I hope it's the gun runners. I listened to and watched Cong. Issa's congressional investigative committee today on the internet....it's darkly fascinating stuff, folks.

This was more important than American Law Enforcement walking weapons into Mexico, getting our agents killed and promoting illegal immigration.
Screw the debt ceiling. Full court press on Holder.
Did anyone see the hearings today where an ATF chief said that “sir, to my knowledge, no guns have walked” and where Isaa responded, “Sir, you hold to what you believe, we will hold to our facts’? =.=
Of course Holder is lying.
Of course the ATF and FBI are lying?
And be assured, of course, the White House will lie on this matter.
