The best thing that could happen is for the 0bamao administration to veto a budget bill.

Then we can blame them for “shutting down the government.”

Big difference between “he would veto” and “his advisers would recommend that he veto”. I take it they’re just trying to make it look more palatable to the tea party Reps.

Obama has no plan, he does not want a plan.
Spending is $9 Trillion higher than 2008, when the debt was $5.8 Trillion, the Current $14.5 trillion is a 200% increase, but Obama wants to Spend more!!! That’s his plan! He does not care what it takes, and when all Americans are dependent on Government, and Government is flat broke, then he knows people will trade gun rights, freedom of speech, and all rights, to keep eating. Obama will use entitlements to sieze control of America! Who will complain about elections to a ruling class that might cut of their food!

The POTUS will sign ANYTHING that passes the Senate.

You can take that to the bank.

Boner caved and it is a good thing that Obastard will veto. We don’t want a stinking increase in the debt ceiling. These (colorful metaphor) people just will not get it!

“President Barack Obama’s advisers would recommend that he veto a bill authored by House Speaker John Boehner to cut government spending and raise the debt ceiling in two stages, the White House said Tuesday”

You mean the teleprompter is telling him to veto it? Why would as great a president as (.)bama need advisors to tell him what to do? No, this is just more cover for the jerk, that is, with nothing left but to veto it, he will pass. This guy is a coward...put it to him, of course if you can get it through the Senate.

Boehner’s plan is not that exciting but he’s not in an easy situation. He has to actually do something and all we have to do is gripe.

As Rush said today, we need to elect more conservatives.

If we could just add to our 2010 results, our problems could end. Of course, that includes replacing Obama.

IMO, the best plan of action for Boehner and the Republican house is to plainly state what is obvious to everyone. And that is Obama has no intention of letting the debt ceiling crisis go to waste. It's plain he has sabotaged every plan presented, including one from his own Senate Democrats.

Therefore the house should rest its efforts on the CCB bill already passed and move on to the FY 2012 budget.

Put the ball firmly in the Obama and the Senate court. Give them full ownership and begin work on a budget for the coming year that takes into account, a 40% drop in revenue, payment priority, and bondholder relief.

Much better strategy. Make Obozo veto it.

It's not really a promise of veto. The statement carefully says Obama's advisors would recommend he veto. Wiggle room galore.

These people are lawyers. You have to parse. The press runs with the "omg! he'll veto! panic! dead on arrival! killed! doom!" headline because it furthers the White House ends of scaring people.

Dear House: Please call his bluff.

The Boehner bill is getting conservative heat for compromising too much. It cuts spending but not as much as it should. But that’s what can get past the Senate.

If we can get it past the house and senate and then see Obama veto it because it doesnt have his precious tax hikes, that’s what I call a WIN/WIN!
