Terrorist proclaimed himself 'Darwinian,' not 'Christian'

Terrorist proclaimed himself 'Darwinian,' not 'Christian' Norwegian's manifesto shows Breivik not religious, having no personal faith

WASHINGTON – A review of Anders Behring Breivik's 1,500-page manifesto shows the media's quick characterization of the Norwegian terrorist as a "Christian" may be as incorrect as it was to call Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh one.

Breivik was arrested over the weekend, charged with a pair of brutal attacks in and near Oslo, Norway, including a bombing in the capital city that killed 7 and a shooting spree at a youth political retreat on the island of Utoya that killed more than 80 victims.

Piecing together Breivik's various posts on the Internet, many media reports have characterized the terrorist – who says he was upset over the multiculturalist policies stemming from Norway's Labour Party – as a "right-wing, Christian fundamentalist."

Yet, while McVeigh rejected God altogether, Breivik writes in his manifesto that he is not religious, has doubts about God's existence, does not pray, but does assert the primacy of Europe's "Christian culture" as well as his own pagan Nordic culture.

Breivik instead hails Charles Darwin, whose evolutionary theories stand in contrast to the claims of the Bible, and affirms: "As for the Church and science, it is essential that science takes an undisputed precedence over biblical teachings. Europe has always been the cradle of science, and it must always continue to be that way. Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I'm not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Christian Europe."

The terrorist also candidly admits he finds no support within either the Catholic or Protestant churches for his violent ideas.

JMT: The 'saints' were set aside from the beginning of this flesh age because of what they did in the heaven/earth age that was.

Okay, this is just getting a little too strange. First it's a non stop discussion of grammer and now we've jumped into a Sci-Fi script.

On a side note, Thanks Dan1212 for clarifying how removed this terrorist is from Biblical Christianity.

I read today that he recently rented a farm so as to be able to obtain fertilizer and have a place to mix up bombs, and never actually grew anything.

Ephesians 1:4 According as He hath chosen us in Him *before* the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

Excuse me for jumping in, but how does this verse indicate a prior existence of these individuals?

Just a tiny bit of background... Ezekiel was inspired to pen the following. Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, *all* souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Surely you do not think there is a 'soul' manufacturing plant in Heaven, that a soul is produced when an egg is fertilized? All souls preexisted this 'heaven/earth' age that is *now*. IIPeter 3 ... whole chapter, and the purpose/reason for John 3. It also explains why it is recorded two times that Jacob I loved and Esau I hated, Malachi 1:1-3... and Romans 9:11-14.

Paul knew the Hebrew, he constantly quotes from it to pen the Christian doctrine to any who will.

So what kind of Creator, who is perfect in His creation and judgment would create a soul that He hated... that notion goes against everything that is Written.

One must believe in a deity in order to be a Mason, heartwood.

So, strike the “atheist.” Your grandfather was agnostic, believing in “a” god, just not necessarily any preconceived notion of that god.

My grandfather turned down a scholarship to Harvard (for the ministry) because he didn’t believe in God. He raised my mother and her siblings not to believe in God.

He was perfectly capable of prevaricating about his beliefs in order to have the fun of joining a secret society, although to have done so for a scholarship went too far for his occasionally elastic principles.

“No sarcasm here, my fear is that this is an engineered “crisis” that is going to usher in draconian remedies.”

Considering there is a “god of this world” that generates chaos and darkness, it is not at all sarcastic to see an author behind these actions.

“I was referring to media labels.”

It is still profiling, which is discernment to me, which, if the MSM were not disingenuous, they would get it right the first time without the bias. Labels are descriptive in nature. The problems lies in the describer. Progressives (socialist right or left) are propagandists by nature. They rage against the Truth which is Christ.

Seems like every country is on the verge of a civil war these days.

Not every country. We still have a chance to avert one here. All we need is a balanced budget. Should be fairly easy to achieve, right ?

Hanging labels on him (or any other killer) is ridiculous.

Janet Napaletano declared Christian Conservative, military retiree, gun owners as the most dangerous extremist group and greatest threat to our nation.

A government agency in New Jersey ran an anti terrorist exercise scenario where a Fundamentalist Christian group hijacked a school bus and began killing children.

When Maj Hassan murdered 14 innocent people (including the unborn child of one of his victims), we were told not to assume it had anything to do with his religion, even though he posted pro Islamo-terrorist comments online.

When the Times Square and Underwear bombers attempted their acts of terrorism, we were told not to assume it involved Islamic terrorism. In fact, at one point, the media tried to paint the Times Square bomber as a Christian.

When the Koranimals attack recruiters and MEPS stations, and murder American Airmen at the Frankfurt Airport, we're cautioned not to assume it involves Islam.

But hey, clown, go ahead and bury your head in the sand. There's nothing to see, here.

Well, apparently failure to properly capitalize words in sentences is much more heinous in the eyes of the Grammar Nazis. Massacres and bombings appear to be somewhat further down on their list of priorities.

Heaven help you if you dangle a participle or strand a preposition.

Clown? Me? LOL

You are right that no one is allowed to call a Muslim murderer a Muslim. But there is a rush to judgment so to speak with any non-Muslim killer. When I made my original post, I was thinking about the guy in Arizona who shot Congresswoman Giffords and killed those other people. Right away, the media painted him as a right-wing conservative. Turned out later that the guy hadn’t voted in years; so his politics really were unknown. This fellow in Norway now is being portrayed as a conservative Christian; yet in his rantings, he doesn’t mention Jesus at all.

Trouble is that these labels persist. When people talk about the Tucson shooter, many still call him a right wing conservative. I have tried to correct them, but they will continue to insist that is what he is. Our media has a lot of influence on people’s thinking and at times like these, that is not a good thing.

I feel this way: if we can’t call a Muslim a Muslim, we shouldn’t be able to attach some label to anyone else. Let’s just assume that the killer went ‘round the bend. Most likely, except for Muslim extremists who are indoctrinated to kill, that is what happened. His politics or his religion have nothing to do with the crime.
